J275 - Topaz after Augelite with Quartz $ 750 Mundo Nuevo Mine, La Libertad, Peru miniature - 5 x 3 x 3 cm
Two light lavender casts of Topaz after Augelite associated with elongated, transparent Quartz crystals. This was fouond about ten years ago when the great Augelite finds were made. There are two casts present, the largest over 2cm. This is the best of only a few I saw available. They were originally thought to be Fluorite after Augelite, but have been tested and confirmed to be Topaz.
J277 - Chalcedony after Fluorite $ 375 Trestia, Maramures, Romania small cabinet - 6 x 4 x 3 cm
Classic old specimen of translucent blue Chalcedony that has repalced cubic Fluorite. Lustrous undamaged crystals. Comes with an old Julius Bohm label.
J255 - Talc after Enstatite Bamle, Norway small cabinet - 7.5 x 6.5 x 4 cm
Large intergrown Enstatite crystals that have been replaced by green Talc. Complete all around and terminated. These were found in approximately 1900-1910 and this is considered a large specimen. Comes with an old German label.
J254 - Orthoclase after Quartz $ 350 Krupka, Erzgebirge Mtns., Czech Republic small cabinet - 8 x 4 x 3 cm
Rare pseudomorph of Orthoclase after Quartz. Orthoclase hosting the 3cm pseudomorph at one end, mostly the termination of the former Quartz crystal. Collected in the 1970s, this is one of only a small number of specimens known.
J252 - Galena after Bournonite $ 750 Pribram, Bohemia, Czech Republic cabinet - 12 x 7 x 4 cm
Large, relatively flat specimen with the front face covered by crystals of Galena that have replaced Bournonite. Individual crystal reach 1.2cm in size and are undamaged.
J267 - Pyrhottite $ 260 Santa Eulalia, Chihuahua, Mexico small cabinet - 6 x 5.5 x 4 cm
Large, chunky single Pyrhottite crystal from Mexico. This is from an old collection and these are now uncommon to find. Besides being a large crystal, it has an interesting purple sheen over much of the surface.
J308 - Tsavorite with Pyrite $ 450 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.5 x 1.4 x 1.2 cm
Tsavorite crystals on Graphite with attached Pyrite crystals. Complete all around and undamaged. The main crystal is 1cm and transparent.
TU240 - Fluorite with Ferberite, Arsenopyrite $ 800 Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan, China small cabinet - 6 x 5 x 4 cm
Glassy, transparent Fluorite cubes to 3cm on edge grown around a cluster of Arsenopyrite crystals. The Fluorite have green and purple color zones. A 3cm Ferberite crystal extends into the upper back of the Fluorite cluster and there are Quartz crystals attached to the top. I found one small edge nick on a side crystal, otherwise undamaged. Bright and showy, better than photos.
TU243 - Fluorite with Arsenopyrite $ 900 Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan, China small cabinet - 7.5 x 6 x 5.5 cm
Purple Fluorite cubes to 3cm on edge intergrown with Arsenopyrite and Muscovite crystals, all atop a Quartz crystal. Good all around and undamaged.
TU244 - Fluorite on Quartz $ 750 Huanggang Mine, Inner Mongolia, China cabinet - 12 x 5.5 x 3.5 cm
Double-terminated cluster of smokey Quartz crystals partially coated by white Calcite crystals. A 2cm transparent, clear Fluorite crystal sits between the main Quartz crystal and the tips of smaller Quartz crystal that flares out from the main crystal. Dramatic display specimen. Well crystallized all around with smaller Quartz crystals flaring out in the opposite direction from the base of the main crystal. The Fluorite octahedron has slight cleaving on one face or natural step growth, and there is one partial Quartz crystal at the base of the main cluster, otherwise undamaged.
TU248 - Fluorite $ 950 Chasan Mine, Chenzhou, Hunan, China small cabinet - 7.5 x 5 x 4 cm
Water clear light green Fluorite cubes on matrix. Central main isolated cube is 2cm on the diagonal. Some of the smaller crystals are so clear you can't see them until you reflect light off their faces. This is the best quality from this find that I could find. Complete all around and undamaged. Better than photos.
TU250 - Fluorite $ 500 La Viesca Mine, Huergo, La Collada, Asturias, Spain miniature - 4.5 x 4 x 3.5 cm
Transparent purple Fluorite cubes with exceptionally glossy, wet-looking luster. There is a cleave on the lower right corner of the amin crystals, otherwise undamaged.
TU251 - Fluorite on Quartz $ 750 La Viesca Mine, Huergo, La Collada, Asturias, Spain small cabinet - 7.5 x 6 x 3.5 cm
Transparent purple/blue Fluorite cubes on a Quartz crystal covered matrix. Exceptionally bright crystals! It really pops when compared to others. Glossy, wet-looking luster. There are a couple tiny, trivial nicks that you have to search for, otherwise undamaged. This one is really nice and way better than photos.
TU252 - Fluorite with Calcite $ 600 Emilio Mine, Colunga District, Caravia Mining Area, Asturias, Spain miniature - 4.5 x 4 x 3.5 cm
Water-clear, colorless Fluorite cubes without matrix surrounding a single Calcite crystal. Great luster with slight corner modifications. Undamaged.
TU253 - Fluorite on Quartz with Barite $ 400 La Viesca Mine, Huergo, La Collada, Asturias, Spain miniature - 5 x 5 x 3.5 cm
Water-clear, purple Fluorite cubes on a Quartz crystal covered matrix with small white Barite crystals. The Fluorite crystals have superb surface luster. Damage to one Barite cluster on the lower right side, otherwise undamaged. Good Fluorite crystals on the back side too!
