SM817 - Azurite $ 225 Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico miniature - 3.2 x 2.7 x 1.0 cm
Tabular, deep blue Azurite crystals with attached spheres of green Malachite from the area of the mine where the Volborthite was found. The Azurite has superb luster and areas of bright 'electric' blue color.
SM818 - Azurite $ 200 Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico thumbnail - 2.7 x 2.0 x 1.0 cm
Tabular, deep blue Azurite crystals with an attached sphere of green Malachite from recent finds at Milpillas, which have produced some spectacular Azurite crystals with vivid 'electric' blue color. This is a fine thumbnail sized specimen with no damage.
SM953 - Spessartine $ 450 Nani, Loliondo, Arusha Region, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.5 x 2.3 x 2.3 cm
Complete orange Spessartine with good translucency and large areas of internal transparency. This is a complete crystal all around with no contacts - only a small minority of the find are complete crystals, most are shards or have contacts on at least 1 or two sides. Some areas of black inclusions but many areas of gem, bright citrus orange. Weighs 104 carats.
J50 - Silver with Acanthite $ 250 Uchucchacua Mine, Peru miniature - 3.7 x 3.2 x 3.0 cm
Silver wires and patches of native Silver with areas of Acanthite rising from a black sulfide rich matrix. The longest Silver wire is curved, but if straightened out if would be about 2cm long. There are a number of good wires present. These are no longer being found.
J64 - Axinite Butte County, California thumbnail - 2.7 x 2.3 x 2.1 cm
A rare specimen from Butte County in California showing a cluster of bladed, light brown, Axinite crystals. The largest crystal has clear areas and is in very good condition with only a small amount of microscopic chipping. Murdoch, Joseph & Robert W. Webb (1966), in Minerals of California, notes an occurrence near the Feather River and Yankee Hill areas, but little else is known. Comes mounted in a 1.25-inch perky box with an original old faded label. A true rarity for the California collector and much better than photos.
J71 - Cerussite $ 280 Daoping Mine, Yangshuo, Guangxi Region, China miniature - 4.8 x 3.7 x 1.3 cm
Unusual candy colored Cerussite of yellow and pink. These Daoping Cerussites are among the most colorful for the species and it appears they are from a one time or limited find from several years ago. The crystal has flat, lustrous front and back faces and highly complex terminatation growth along the edges. Some minor damage to the bottom edges of this specimen.
J72 - Cerussite $ 350 Daoping Mine, Yangshuo, Guangxi Region, China miniature - 4.0 x 3.5 x 1.3 cm
Unusual candy colored Cerussite of yellow and pink. These Daoping Cerussites are among the most colorful for the species and it appears they are from a one time or limited find from several years ago. The crystal has flat, lustrous front and back faces and highly complex terminatation growth along the edges. The only visible contact on this specimen is minor chipping at the bottom near a small amount of wall matrix. Otherwise, near perfect.

These Daoping Cerussites are among the most colorful for the species and it appears they are from a one time or limited find from several years ago. The crystal has flat, lustrous front and back faces and highly complex terminatation growth along the edges. No visible damage to this specimen.

The crystal has flat, lustrous front and back faces and highly complex terminatation growth along the edges. Minor damage to some of the bottom edge terminations near the small bit of matrix that remains.
C665 - Shattuckite $ 350 L'Etoile, Lumbumbashi, Katanga, Congo (DRC) small cabinet - 6 x 5.5 x 4 cm
Solid mass of Shattuckite and Malachite with a thin coating of Chrysocolla on the outside. The Shattuckite forms satiny, fibrous radial groups with Malachite filling the spaces in between.
J178 - Amethyst Jackson's Crossroads, Wilkes Co., Georgia, USA small cabinet - 6.5 x 6 x 5 cm
Cluster of glassy Amethyst crystals from 2018 finds. Good medium purple colored Amethyst crystals that grew upon the tips of smaller white Quartz crystals, so it is crystallized on all sides with just a few of the tips of the small white crystals embedded inthe bottom. Fine and undamaged.
J146 - Agate after Shell $ 220 Dakhla area, Western Sahara, Morocco small cabinet - 5.4 x 3 x 2.6 cm
Fossil shell that has been replaced by translucent golden agate. These are found on the surface, having weathered out of the surrounding rock formations. There are about 40 different species found at this deposit. Although they could have weathered out of different formations, they are all believed to be Eocene in age. Most are broken pieces and weathered and perfectly preserved examples such as this are uncommon, probably less than 5 percent of what is found. Fine quality large specimen.
J164 - Euchroite $ 250 Svatoduska, near Lubietova, Slovakia miniature - 3.5 x 2.3 x 2 cm
Deep green Euchroite crystals to 2-3mm that contrast well against the dark brown matrix. Good crystals that are fairly well isolated.
C683 - Thaumasite $ 1500 N'Chwanning Mine, Kuruman, South Africa miniature - 3.4 x 3 x 1.3 cm
Thaumasite is a rare mineral in the Ettringite group, the best were found at the N'Chwanning. This is a rare matrix specimen - you used to be able to find small single crystals but now even those are hard to find. Matrix specimens were always uncommon, and I have only ever had one before, a similar piece to this one that I paid a similar price to Katherine Woest about 15 years ago. Crystals are a transparent yellow and reach 5mm in diameter. White tufts of Xonotlite are dispersed between the Thaumasite crystals.
C688 - Hausmanite $ 1200 N'Chwanning II Mine, Kuruman, South Africa small cabinet - 9 x 5.5 x 3 cm
Matrix covered by Andradite crystals in turn coated by numerous well formed Hausmanite crystals. Clean and undamaged. Comes with a Wendel Minerals label that indicates it was formerly part of the Mayer collection.
