Ordering Information

To order a mineral, please contact me to enquire about the specimens availability. You can either send me an e-mail at mike@marinmineral.com with the mineral number and a description of the mineral or give me a call at 415-453-0927 or 415-342-1852. I will then confirm the specimen's availability status and follow-up with regard to shipping preferences and payment methods. Minerals will be sold on a first come first served basis. Please remember to look at the measurements of the minerals before ordering as some thumbnail sized specimens are shown larger than actual size and some large specimens are pictured smaller than actual size. If you are a California resident, a sales tax of 8.50% will be added to your order. Shipping charges will be $6.00 to $10.00 for most domestic orders. Small shipments out fo the USA can be shipped for $6.00 with no insurance or via registered airmail for $17.00. Larger shipments out of the USA typically cost about $35 for insured shipping. Expidited shipping out of the USA can also be done using FEDEX for approximately $60-$75.

I accept VISA, Mastercard, and checks or money orders in U.S. dollars. Please note that all pricing is in U.S. dollars; currency conversions are provided for your convenience only, and subject to change due to currency exchange rate changes.

Return Policy:

I strive to describe the minerals accurately by photos and giving specimen dimensions and pointing out any damage. If upon receipt of the minerals you are not completely satisfied, notify me of your intent to return the mineral within 10 days. I will refund your money (less the cost of shipping; merchant card fees may apply to larger orders) upon receipt of the specimen returned in the same condition .
