Azurite crystal grouping with attached Malachite. Beautiful front and back with just a tiny area of contact on bottom where it attached to the matrix. The Azurite has a waxy to satiny luster and is brilliantly translucent when backlit. From a single pocket opened in April 2015 that produced a limited number of specimens. One very small chip found using a loupe, otherwise undamaged.

An old specimen from the Bill Hiss collection featuring wonderful, transparent Orthoclase var. Moonstone crystals with black Augite crystals. There is also an unknown hoppered octahedral crystal present, about 7mm wide.

B396 - Azurite $ 350 (=~ CAN$ 480)
Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico
miniature - 4 x 3.5 x 2 cm

Flattened, lustrous Azurite crystals on matrix. One edge of the small, uppermost crystal is contacted on edge where it grew against matrix and another small crystal has damage and irregular growth. Nevertheless, the damage does not distract much and it's a very showy piece, and price reflects the damage.

B411 - Huebnerite with Quartz $ 750 (=~ CAN$ 1029)
Huayllapon Mine, Pasto Bueno, Ancash Dept., Peru
cabinet - 9.5 x 6 x 6 cm

Fine example of Huebnerite crystals in clear Quartz. These are not the typical parallel growth clusters of Huebnerite, rather they are stout individual crystals with wide, flat termination faces. Amazingly, not only are the Huebnerites in perfect condition, the myriad of Quartz crystals are also undamaged. Quartz crystals reach 5cm in length.

Stunning Azurite specimen with bladed crystals to 2.5cm wide on a white matrix with spherical masses of Malachite which are distinctive for this pocket.

B526 - Fluorite on Quartz $ 1200 (=~ CAN$ 1647)

Large translucent purple Fluorite octahedra to 4.7cm on edge. I typically don't buy De'An Fluorite specimens as they are usually etched out of Quartz resulting in a chalky, splintery Quartz matrix that nearly always gives me a quartz splinter in a finger when I hold one. This specimen is natural and unetched as evidenced by the nice, sparkly drusy Quartz surface of the matrix. The Fluorite is composed of 5 intergrown crystals with interesting multi-faceted sufaces and slightly curving edges. One very small tip chip on one crystals, otherwise undamaged and showy.  This is a specimen I sold about 20 years ago and recently received back in trade.

B538 - Paravauxite $ 380 (=~ CAN$ 521)
Siglo Veinte Mine, Llallagua, Bolivia

Cluster of large Paravauxite crystals from the famous Siglo XX (Twentieth Century) Mine in Bolivia. These are very large crystals for the species (the main crystal is 2.1cm!!) - most Paravauxite crystals are under 1cm in size.  The Siglo Veinte mine is the Type locality for this uncommon phosphate species.  Small amounts of blue Vauxite adds color contrast. Big crystals!

B560 - Azurite with Malachite $ 2000 (=~ CAN$ 2745) DISCOUNTED 50% OFF TO $ 1000 (=~ CAN$ 1372)

Shockingly bright, electric blue Azurite crystals lining a large, shallow vug. The color is a more dark, vibrant royal blue than the photos indicate. The photos also don't capture the bright reflections of the crystals - they look like blue foil. These are so incredibly bright I had to take a second look to make sure they weren't Linarite or some other species. I've never Azurite seen like this before, though I have heard Bisbee produced similar Azurites to this at one time. The backside is sawn revealing another small vug containing typical, darker blue Azurite crystals. If you want to add a large amount of bright blue to your case, this is the one.
