D204 - Tourmaline $ 450 Poa Alta Mine, Coronel Murta, Minas Gerais, Brazil thumbnail - 2.5 x 1.4 x 0.9 cm
Colorful and interesting Tourmaline crystal from the lesser known Poa Alta Mine. The lower is red and then the crystal alternates between various shades of greens and reds, then ends with a very thin purple pink termination. Complete all around and undamaged and has a natural indentation from another crystal on the lower backside. Weighs 6.37 grams.

Glossy single black Ilvaite crystal with typical chisel-shaped termination. Wonderful curving crystal faces give it style and uniqueness. Large impressive crystal that is wider than it is tall. Complete all around.
M949 - Tremolite $ 125 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.7 x 0.9 x 0.3 cm
Terminated single Tremolite crystal with bright, vivid green coloration. Translucent to transparent, complete all around, with flat, glassy termination faces. Most are mere shards or fragments and complete terminated crystals such as this are are much less common. Like a number of other mineral species from Merelani, these Tremolites are considered the world's best of species.

Glossy black cluster of Ilvaite crystals with typical chisel-shaped termination. Aesthetic specimen, especially as compared to most which are single crystals.

Thick crystal groups of irridecent Covellite. Can be displayed equally well from a number of directions.
K894 - Spessartine $ 275 Nani, Loliondo, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.5 x 2.3 x 2.3 cm
Complete single Spessartine crystal with great orange color. These are no longer being found or at least very seldomly found anymore. A great example with good color. There is an area of black inclusions, but the large amount of transparent gem zones in the rest of the crystal more than makes of for it. Minor edge wear and a contact where it grew against another crystal, but complete and in overall good condition.

Pearlescent white Tarnowitzite crystals covering the top surface of matrix. A Tsumeb classic.
D442 - Liddicoatite $ 450 Anjanabonoina, Madagascar miniature - 5 x 4.2 x 0.4 cm
Cut and polished slice of Liddicoatite (a species of Tourmaline) from old finds in Madagascar. Cut parallel to the C-axis, the slice reveals the colorful interior of what would have appeared to otherwise be a dark crystal. Dark rind that shows areas of blue followed by a hot pink zone, and a orange/yellow transparent central zone. Well polished on both sides, weighs 23.66 grams.

D486 - Galena with Quartz $ 120 Butte Co., California, USA small cabinet - 7 x 5.5 x 5 cm
Bright and shiny Galena crystals (some skeletal!) associated with Quartz crystals. This came out of an old collection without a label, but have "Butte Co." writtn on the back. It's possibly from the Surcease gold mine. Neat and unusual piece for a California collector.

Bright and shiny Galena crystals from Iowa! A nice stack of cubes. This came out of an old collection with the only 'Iowa' as the locality. Neat and unusual piece for an Iowa mineral collector.
V120 - Diaspore $ 600 Milas, Mugla Prov., Turkey thumbnail - 1.8 x 1.4 x 0.5 cm
V-twin crystal of color change Diaspore. From new finds in the mountains near Milas, these new Diaspore crystals are spectacular in color and form. Glassy, flat termination faces on both 'arms'. There is a small notch on the left side where another crystal grew, and a very slight edge cleave on the lower left, otherwise complete and undamaged. Gem quality and transparent inside. Medium purple color in natural sunlight. Ex. Jon Sigerman.
D500 - Emerald $ 270 Guantu, Kaduna State, Nigeria thumbnail - 2.5 x 0.4 x 0.3 cm
Glassy, transparent hexagonal Emerald crystal with a good, flat termination. Deeper green color inthe lower half, grading up to a light green termination. Complete and undamaged.
