Neat and colorful thumbnail, the only one like it I've seen.
D465 - Digenite $ 120 SOLD Steward Mine, Butte, Silver Bow Co., Montana, USA thumbnail - 1.4 x 1.3 x 0.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Well formed single crystal of Digenite, 1.4cm tall. Butte was well known for producing crystals of this uncommom copper sulfide, and this is a fine thumbnail sized example.
D466 - Anapaite in fossil Bivalve $ 125 Kertch, Crimea, Ukraine thumbnail - 2.9 x 2.4 x 1.4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Bright green crystals of Anapaite that formed inside a fossil bivalve. These are interesting and beautiful classics from an old iron mine that is long closed. Once fairly abundant, these are now not commonly seen.
D468 - Chalcocite $ 225 SOLD Bristol Copper Mine, Bristol, Hartford Co., Connecticut, USA thumbnail - 1.4 x 0.9 x 0.3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Well formed single crystal with a wonderful patina and classic form. These date back to the mid 1800s. Undamaged and with no apparent point of contact, a floater. Professionally mounted in a perky box.
