SV235 - Chalcopyrite on Calcite $ 400 SOLD Fengjiashan Mine, Daye Co., Huangshi Pref., Hubei, China miniature - 5 x 3.5 x 3.3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Iridescent Chalcopyrite on scalenohedral Calcite crystals from a one time find in China. The Chalcopyrite occurs on the outside of the crystals and also just under the surface of the Calcite. The iridescent colors range from gold to green to red. These were found back 2014 and have not been found since. Highly aesthetic specimen in great condition.
NA907 - Grossular $ 300 SOLD Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Quebec, Canada thumbnail - 1.7 x 1.5 x 1.2 cm ![]() ![]() Rare large, clear Grossular garnets to 1 cm wide from the Jeffrey Mine in Canada. The crystals are mostly colorless and slightly yellow at the transparent corners. These white/clear crystals were always rare and now even more so since the mine is closed.

NA119 - Azurite with Quartz, Cerussite, and Chrysocolla $ 475 Sierra Rica, Chihuahua, Mexico miniature - 4 x 4 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Azurite clusters to 1.1 cm wide in an unusual association with Quartz, Cerussite, and Chrysocolla from a little known locality in Mexico. Oddly, this specimen comes with a receipt from Shreve & Company (a jewelry store in San Francisco) dated 1970. The Azurite clusters are bright and lustrous and occur on both sides of specimen.

The crystals reach 1.5cm wide with purple/red coloration and translucency and are well exposed from the schist. This one is loaded with crystals - the collector must have been very happy to find this one with 5 good crystals in one small piece of schist. A USA classic.

This is a historic specimen formerly in the collection of Thomas Edison (inventor of the light bulb). Edison purchased the specimen as part of the George Kunz collection in 1890. Here's a chance to own a piece of mineral collecting history. Comes with Edison's old label.

E238 - Copper after Cuprite with Silver $ 1200 SOLD Poteryaevskoe Mine, Rubtsovskoe Deposit, Western Siberia, Russia thumbnail - 2.9 x 2.5 x 2.0 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Intergrown octahedrons of Copper that have almost completely replaced earlier crystals of Cuprite (just a small amount of the original Cuprite is visible). Complete all around and undamaged. Small areas of Silver are also present giving it added appeal. This is an exceptional specimen as most of these have a coarser appearance due to larger subcrystals of Copper. The smaller size of the Copper crystals on this specimen yields an overall much sharper looking crystal.
