Diopside from Merelani Hills, Tanzania [db_pics/pics/af261a.jpg] Diopside from Merelani Hills, Tanzania [db_pics/pics/af261b.jpg]

Rich chrome green Diopside crystal from the December 2007 find of Diopsides with a vivid, rich green color, far and away better than average Merelani Diopside. This is a stout single crystal complete all around with good luster. Besides this find, I understand there was only one other that produced this color, 1.5 x 1.1 x 1 cm.
