C462 - Aquamarine $ 150 (=~ AUS$ 229) Erongo Mountains, Namibia thumbnail - 2.5 x 0.8 x 0.7 cm
Transparent blue Beryl from the Erongo finds. This one is unusual for the locality in that it is totally transparent and it's lightly etched. Complete and undamaged. Good luster too, better than photos.
C468 - Cerussite $ 240 (=~ AUS$ 366) Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 5.8 x 5 x 2.5 cm
Floater specimen of Cerussite crystals on matrix with green Duftite. Crystallized all around with a perfectly centered 'snowflake' Cerussite crystal of 1.3cm. Insignificant damage to some crystals.
C475 - Prehnite $ 550 (=~ AUS$ 839) Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania miniature - 3.5 x 3 x 3 cm
Cluster of translucent yellow Prehnite crystals on Graphite. Such Prehnites have come out sporadically from Merelani over the years, but never before in the quality that has been found in the last year. This specimen has big crystals with individuals to 1.6cm wide. The lower back edge is contacted, otherwise nothing but great crystals sticking out in various directions. A good one for the find.
C485 - Azurite with Malachite $ 3500 (=~ AUS$ 5337) Tsumeb, Namibia cabinet - 10 x 5 x 4.5 cm
Azurite partially altered to Malchite, with the Malachite forming fine 'bulls-eye' patterns. The Azurite is sharply formed with lustrous faces. The back is a large 10cm partial crystal and there are 2 terminated Azurite crystals attached to the front, the best is 5cm tall and grown out away from the largest crystal.
C492 - Quartz scepter $ 250 (=~ AUS$ 381) Minas Gerais, Brazil small cabinet - 7 x 5.5 x 5 cm
Transparent, light smokey Quartz scepter atop a Quartz crystal that is partially intergrown with black Tourmaline. The scepter is glassy with a stepped termination. Slight edge wear in places but relatively undamaged. This is an old crystal from the 1960s/70s.
C494 - Bournonite on Sphalerite $ 200 (=~ AUS$ 305) Machacamarca Mine, Potosà Department, Bolivia small cabinet - 8.2 x 6 x 3 cm
Elongated, silvery Bournonite crystals to 1.4 cm on a Sphalerite matrix.
C495 - Prehnite $ 200 (=~ AUS$ 305) Djouga, Bendougou, Kayes Region, Mali miniature - 3.5 x 3.5 x 2 cm
Translucent green Prehnite with 4 stalactitic formations growing out of a Prehnite base. Sort of reminds me of a snails head.
C505 - Copper $ 450 (=~ AUS$ 686) Keweenaw Peninsula, Michigan, USA small cabinet - 6 x 4.5 x 1.6 cm
Copper crystal cluster with a deep, rich patina. Good on both sides and undamaged.
C512 - Quartz var. Herkimer Diamond $ 600 (=~ AUS$ 915) Herkimer, New York, USA small cabinet - 8.5 x 8 x 5.5 cm
Cluster of double-terminated Quartz crystals known as 'Herkimer Diamonds'. Bright and glassy crystals that are complete and undamaged all around.
C531 - Grossular $ 490 (=~ AUS$ 747) Handan Pref., Hebei Prov., China small cabinet - 7.5 x 6.0 x 5.5 cm
This is a large cluster of nothing but Grossular garnet crystals. The crystals are an amber/yellow color and transluscent to transparent. Average crystal size is about 5mm with some crystals approaching 1cm. A good sized cluster for the find. There are a few contacts but the majority is clean undamaged crystals. .
C533 - Stilbite $ 250 (=~ AUS$ 381) New South Wales, Australia cabinet - 9.5 x 8 x 4.5 cm
Isolated orange Stilbite crystals on a crystal coated matrix. Out of an old collection with specimen number affixed to the bottom.
C539 - Barite $ 450 (=~ AUS$ 686) Les Malines, Saint-Laurent-le-Minier, Gard, Occitanie, France cabinet - 12.5 x 7 x 6 cm
Snow-white Barite blades, with some that are amber colored, over a matrix coated by drusy Sphalerite.This is out of an old collection built in the 60s and 70s and is surprisingly clean and undamaged, good from both sides.
C541 - Galena $ 400 (=~ AUS$ 610) Sweetwater Mine, Reynolds Co., Missouri cabinet - 10 x 9 x 7 cm
Large cubes of lustrous Galena crystals, to 5.2cm on the diagonal, on matrix associated with Chalcopyrite and Calcite crystals. Such specimens with good large crystals on matrix are no longer common.
C547 - Pyrite after ? $ 240 (=~ AUS$ 366) Trepca Mine, Kosovska Mitrovica, Kosovo small cabinet - 7.5 x 5 x 4.5 cm
Elongated Pyrite groups that have replaced a previous mineral, possibly Calcite, on a matrix covered by Sphalerite. The base of one of the Pyrite crystal groups is visible and whatever was there before is all gone now - nothing but solid Pyrite. Bright, shiny luster and undamaged.
C551 - Ferberite with Quartz $ 325 (=~ AUS$ 496) Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan, China small cabinet - 8 x 7 x 4 cm
Well formed large Ferberite crystals associated wtih transparent Quartz crystals. There are also small purple Fluorite crystals, Muscovite, and Arsenopyrite present.
