R420 - Smithsonite on stalactite $ 2500 (=~ CAN$ 3431) Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 6 x 1.5 x 1.4 cm
Rare Tsumeb specimen of pink Smithsonite crystals partially coating a metallic grey stalactite of Tennnantite(?), and a significantly long one at that! The stalactite is fluorescent orange and is possibly Sphalerite. The Smithsonite are gemmy and reach 5mm in size, preferentially coating one side of the stalactite. The stalactite is slightly irridescent. Ex. Carl Acosta collection.
R421 - Malachite in Calcite with Duftite $ 2500 (=~ CAN$ 3431) SOLD Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 7 x 4 x 2.5 cm
Fine, highly aesthetic specimen composed of glassy, transparent Calcite rhombs included by Malachite. The crystals are sharp, lustrous, and cover both sides of the specimen (a floater). The Calcite are water-clear making this a really bright and sparkly specimen. Areas of Duftite are also present, mostly on the backside. Ex. Carl Acosta, Tizziano Bonisoli collections.
R422 - Cerussite $ 1500 (=~ CAN$ 2058) Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 6 x 5 x 2.8 cm
Single snowflake of reticulated Cerussite. The Cerussite is glassy and transparent with areas of surface alteration to Hydrocerussite. Slightly iridescent blue/black metallic mineralization is present deep in the grooves of the crystals. Comes with an old label from Prosper Williams. Ex. Carl Acosta collection.
R423 - Duftite with Calcite 'Saguaro Cactus' $ 900 (=~ CAN$ 1235) Tsumeb, Namibia miniature - 5 x 3 x 2.5 cm
Elongated, rounded matrix (a stalactite?) coated with green Duftite and Calcite crystals. Well crystallized all around. Ex. Carl Acosta collection. This specimen always reminded Carl of a Saguaro Cactus.
R424 - Malachite after Azurite $ 500 (=~ CAN$ 686) Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 5.5 x 5.5 x 4 cm
Well formed crystals of Malachite pseudomorphs after Azurite crystals. The crystals have a bright velvety, chatoyant appearance. Ex. Carl Acosta collection and comes with a few old labels.
R425 - Mimetite $ 1500 (=~ CAN$ 2058) SOLD Tsumeb, Namibia thumbnail - 2.5 x 2.2 x 1.5 cm
Fine an undamaged specimen of yellow Mimetite crystals on matrix. The Mimetite have pointed, gemmy terminations. Excellent color and luster. Ex. Carl Acosta collection.
R426 - Tarnowitzite $ 3000 (=~ CAN$ 4117) Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 8 x 7 x 4.5 cm
Large white Tarnowitzite crystals grown on both sides of a thin rock matrix. Many crsytals are doubly-terminated, including the largest one at 3.5cm wide. More sculptural than most with crystals growing in many different directions. Ex. Carl Acosta collection.
R427 - Mimetite with Malachite $ 500 (=~ CAN$ 686) Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 8 x 7 x 2.5 cm
Colorful specimen with yellow Mimetite clusters with Malachite. The Malachite occurs as both isolated masses and coating elongated crystals of an unidentified species (Copper?). Ex. Carl Acosta collection.
R428 - Smithsonite stalactite $ 2750 (=~ CAN$ 3774) Tsumeb, Namibia miniature - 4 x 1.5 x 1.4 cm
Single stalactite of translucent green Smithsonite. One of the more uncommon Smithsonite formations found at Tsumeb and I've only ever seen a few of these. The base shows concentric circles of Smithsonite of varying colors. Undamaged (the tip is perfect) and attractive. Ex. Carl Acosta collection (he called it 'the dunce cap').
R429 - Adamite $ 2250 (=~ CAN$ 3088) Tsumeb, Namibia miniature - 4.5 x 3.5 x 2 cm
Golden/green crystals of Adamite on matrix. Large crystals to 1cm in size. Good Adamite specimens are very uncommon from Tsumeb. Ex. Carl Acosta collection.
R430 - Smithsonite on Willemite $ 500 (=~ CAN$ 686) SOLD Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 6 x 4 x 4 cm
White rhombs of Smithsonite atop pink and orange Willemite on matrix. Uncommon from a rare pocket. Ex. Carl Acosta collection.
