Benitoite and Neptunite

New Benitoite and Neptunite specimens from the Benitoite Gem Mine in California.  These are all new specimens only recently etched from pieces mined years ago and offered here for the first time.  This locality produced the world's best Benitoite and Neptunite and is the Type locality for Benitoite. This locality is long closed and specimens get harder to find every year.

Deep blue Benitoite crystals on schist matrix partially coated by white Natrolite. The Benitoite have great color and reach 9mm on edge. There is also one Joaquinite crystal present.

A 3cm single Neptunite crystal on schist matrix coated by white Natrolite. The crystal is doubly-terminated, highly lustrous and of hgh quality with a tiny chip on the tip of one termination. Elegant stunner of a Neptunite!

Numerous glassy, cornflower-blue Benitoite crystals on schist matrix partially coated by white Natrolite. This specimen is just loaded with crystals (50 plus). The Benitoite are of the tabular style with light blue color, glassy luster, and areas of transparency. The crystals reach 7mm in size.

Glassy blue Benitoite crystals on schist matrix partially coated by white Natrolite. The Benitoite are the tabular, super glassy style and reach 1cm in size. Though the edges are irregular, under a loupe you can see they are naturally etched and not damaged.
