P828 - Fluorite on Quartz $ 450 (=~ € 411) Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan, China small cabinet - 6 x 5.5 x 3.2 cm
Specimen of transparent, stepped, cubic Fluorite crystals attached to Quartz crystals. This one has lots of character! The Fluorite cluster is 3cm wide, light blue/green, transparent, and undamaged. The first generation Quartz is a larger single crystal that detached in the pocket. Later, smaller transparent Quartz crystals grew off each end of the larger Quartz, including small Quartz crystals grown right on the tip of the larger Quartz! P831 - 'Gitter' Quartz on Feldspar $ 275 (=~ € 251) Erongo Region, Namibia small cabinet - 6.8 x 3 x 2.5 cm
Cris-crossing Quartz crystals known as 'Gitter Quartz' (a German name for fence or lattice Quartz). The Quartz crystals form epitaxially on an elongated single Feldspar crystal in a lattice of crystals. Most of the Feldspar is completely covered by the Quartz, even on the ends. The Erongo Mountains is the only locality I'm aware of that produces this style of unusual Quartz specimens.
P832 - 'Gitter' Quartz on Feldspar $ 275 (=~ € 251) SOLD Erongo Region, Namibia small cabinet - 7 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm
P833 - 'Gitter' Quartz on Feldspar $ 350 (=~ € 320) Erongo Region, Namibia small cabinet - 9.2 x 4 x 3.5 cm
Cris-crossing Quartz crystals known as 'Gitter Quartz' (a German name for fence or lattice Quartz). The Quartz crystals form epitaxially on an elongated single Feldspar crystal in a lattice of crystals. The tan-colored Feldspar is mostly covered by the Quartz, but visible on one end. The Erongo Mountains is the only locality I'm aware of that produces this style of unusual Quartz specimens.
