Stunning cluster of large, thick, blocky Vanadinite crystals from Mibladen. Crystals reach 2cm wide by 1.1 cm thick. Virtually undamaged, I could find only two tiny nicks. Though it doesn't have the bright red color, it's very impressive for crystal size and overall quality and display.

P605 - Quartz 'Cross' $ 700 (=~ ¥ 103863)
Jinkouhe District, Leshan, Sichuan, China

Two doubly-terminated Quartz crystals forming the shape of a cross. A third smaller Quartz sticks out the front. Quartz from this locality is known for it's carbon and fluid inclusions, and this one has a number of moving bubbles inside that travel up 1cm in distance. There is an indent on the backside where this atttached to the matrix, otherwise it's complete and well crystallized all around.

P606 - Amethyst $ 1600 (=~ ¥ 237400)

Amethyst crystal cluster from artisanal diggings in the Kingston Mountains of eastern California. Most Amethyst from this locality has either white Quartz over the purple zones or are only transluscent and of medium purple color. The very best (in my opinion) are of the style of this specimen, with clear transparent Quartz over deep purple Amethyst. Fine and undamaged, this is the best Kingston Amethyst I've ever owned and one I've kept for many years.

Tall, golden brown and transparent Clinozoisite crystal from Alchuri. It has a wonderful, complex termination and is transparent for the full length of the crystal. Undamaged and complete all around. Ex. Don Zowader collection.

Doubly-terminated single Tremolite crystal from the Merelani Tanzanite mines. Vivid green color with areas of transparency. This is a good sized crystal (consider the MIM museum recently posted a 2.9cm doubly-terminated Tremolite). Complete and undamaged with typical striated prism faces and flat termination faces.

Group of 3 Alabandite crystals with attached Tanzanite, Diopside, and Graphite. Well developed Alabandite crystals that are undamaged and complete all around with a flat area on the back where the crystal group attached to Graphite. A top quality piece that I've held in my collection since the inital finds.

Miniature sized specimen of crystallized moonstone from Tanzania. Individual crystals to 2.5cm that display a satiny blue color when turned under lighting. This 'Schiller effect' of color is seen at different angles on the different crystals and was therefore not possible to catch in still photos and these are therefore more colorful and attractive in person. Moonstone crystals are rare! Though not the largest, this was the finest quality example from a find approx. 10 years ago.

Water-clear light lavender colored Fluorite crystals. The main crystal is 1.6cm on edge. This has amazing transparency and is even more transparent and bright in person.

Doubly-terminated transparent Quartz crystal with an attached Tourmaline crystal and twinned Hambergite crystal. This is a floater specimen well crystallized all around. I bought this long ago from Muzaffar Ali back when he was selling at the Inn Suites in Tucson. The Hambergite crystal is superb and 1.5cm long.

Red Zircon crystals in a Quartz and Mica matrix. The main crystal is doubly-terminated and 2.7cm tall. This is as good a Zircon crystal as I have seen from this locality, and you don't see many of these for sale anymore, purchased back in the 1990s.
