P422 - Amethyst $ 3500 (=~ AUS$ 5337) Las Vigas, Vera Cruz, Mexico large cabinet - 20 x 15 x 7.0 cm
Large, flat rock matrix covered by purple Amethyst crystals. This a big and showy Vera Cruz specimen with a lot going for it - deep purple colored crystals, good coverage, and importantly, green Epidote coating the matrix which provides excellent color contrast. The crystals are undamaged, with only a couple missing crystals down on the lower right edge.

Actinolite cluster atop a larger Actinolite crystal from a new find in Tanzania. A larger, deep green crystal hosts a cluster of smaller, doubly-terminated crystals at the top.

Single, gemmy pink Tanzanite crystal. Though small, it has excellent form, transparency, and the color is a very rich pink in the narrow direction. Undamaged and water-clear.

Stunning, glassy Tanzanite crystal with outstanding transparency and luster. The front face shows purple with a yellow tip. When viewed from the side, it's yellow/blue. Looking down the top (C-axis), it's yellowish with hints of orange. Beautiful water-clear crystal in near pristine condition with only a chip of the back of the small side crystal, otherwise undamaged. This is a fantastic gem crystal that won't dissappoint!

Glassy cherry-red Rhodochrosite crystals in a vug in dark black rock matrix. Quality undamaged crystals with transparency. An old piece held by a Peruvian miner and shipped to me recently. Saw cut on back.

Showy specimen of the chromium rich Clinochlore varietal known as Kammererite from the world's best locality for the species. Sparkling good sized crystals covering the front face. This locality is long closed and specimens are now hard to come by.

Pearly white crystals of Barrerite on matrix. Barrerite is a rare member of the Zeolite group of minerals. Rocky Pass is a small islet just off the coast of Kuiu Island.
