FM640 - Quartz on Dioptase $ 7500 (=~ AUS$ 11436) Kaokaveld, Namibia small cabinet - 9 x 7 x 4.5 cm
Large, elongated Dioptase crystals on matrix partially coated by sparkling Quartz crystals. The prism faces of the larger Dioptase crystals are coated by drusy Quartz while the terminations are exposed. The Dioptase crystals reach 2cm in length and are undamaged. Stunning, fine quality specimen from the Irv Brown collection. Dioptase crystals on drusy Quartz from Kaokaveld are uncommon. Comes with a custom Sunnywood Lucite base.

FM646 - Dioptase on Plancheite $ 18000 (=~ AUS$ 27447) Omaue Mine, Kaokaveld, Kunene Region, Namibia cabinet - 14 x 9 x 6 cm
Large, elongated Dioptase crystals in a vug lined by blue Plancheite. Stunning, fine quality specimen from the Irv Brown collection (who was reluctant to let this one go!). This specimen is illustrated on page 185 of the Namibia II book written by Ludi von Bezing. Comes with a custom Sunnywood Lucite base. Fun fact: this specmimen won first place at a contest held at the birthday party for area collector Jack Halpern at his home in San Francisco. Attendees were asked to bring a 'best Jack rock'. Once all the pieces were assembled on a table, Jack judged the specimens and selected this Dioptase as his favorite of them all.
