FM177 - Joaquinite, Benitoite, Neptunite $ 3800 (=~ € 3472) SOLD Gem Mine, San Benito Co., California, USA small cabinet - 8 x 8 x 2.5 cm
Flat, Natrolite coated matrix covered with dozens of small golden brown Joaquinite crystals along with blue Benitoite and black Neptunite crystals. This is a very rich example of this rare species and one of the best I've ever seen. It was etched by Steve Perry long ago and I bought it as soon as it was finished. I have held this in my personal collection for at least 20 years. Besides the Joaquinite, the Benitoite are gemmy and blue and the Neptunites are lustrous and without cracking. The crystals are well separated and well dispersed. This is a top Joaquinite specimen.
