Well formed crystal of Cuprite covered with a thin coating of Malachite on a small amount of Calcite matrix. The Cuprite in these specimens are often transparent and faceted into gemstones. These are classics and now hard to find. The main crystal shows good well defined edges and is 2cm wide. There is a partial crystal on the back, which I actually like because it offers a window into the bright red Cuprite interior but does not detract when viewed from the front.
