Large deep greenish yellow crystals of Prehnite over Graphite. Merelani Prehnite is considered by many, including me, to be the best in the world, and what has been produced in the last year or two has been the best. This beautiful specimen is a perfect example of this quality. Large translucent crystals with good color. Minor damage, mostly limited to the very edges. A large example for the locality with uncommonly large, good crystals.

Fossil bivalve shell that has been replaced by translucent golden agate. These are found on the surface, having weathered out of the surrounding rock formations. There are about 40 different species found at this deposit. Although they could have weathered out of different formations, they are all believed to be Eocene in age. Most are broken pieces and weathered and perfectly preserved examples such as this are uncommon, probably less than 5 percent of what is found.
