Undamaged, intergrown pair of gem Spessartine crystals. This find was short lived (now done, no longer producing) and didn't produce a huge quantity of crystals, but the quality is the highest of any Spessartine I've ever seen. The color and clarity are superb. I wish I could get more.

Thaumasite is a rare mineral in the Ettringite group, the best were found at the N'Chwanning. This is a rare matrix specimen - you used to be able to find small single crystals but now even those are hard to find. Matrix specimens were always uncommon, and I have only ever had one before, a similar piece to this one that I paid a similar price to Katherine Woest about 15 years ago. Crystals are a transparent yellow and reach 5mm in diameter. White tufts of Xonotlite are dispersed between the Thaumasite crystals.
