Twinned Rhodochrosite crystal, a floater with no points of attachment. The color is just outstanding. This was recently released from the Charlie Key collection and it is clear he saved some good ones. Previous twinned Mont St. Hilaire Rhodos I've seen have all been a darker brick red color and opaque. This one is bright red and translucent through most of the specimen. Undamaged. A small amount of minerals attached to one edge.

Twinned Rhodochrosite crystal, a floater with no points of attachment. The color is just outstanding. This was recently released from the Charlie Key collection and it is clear he saved some good ones. Previous twinned Mont St. Hilaire Rhodos I've seen have all been a darker brick red color and opaque. This one is bright red and translucent through most of the specimen. Undamaged with a small contact at one corner from another crystal.

Twinned Rhodochrosite crystal group composed of three parallel growth crystals stacked together with minor amounts of attached matrix. The color is just outstanding. This was recently released from the Charlie Key collection and it is clear he saved some good ones. Previous twinned Mont St. Hilaire Rhodos I've seen have all been a darker brick red color and opaque. This one is bright red and translucent through most of the specimen.Slight damage along one edge of the very back crystal (not visible from front), otherwise undamaged.
