Scalenohedral Rhodochrosite crystals with top color, clarity, and luster. Tiny chipping to a couple tips, otherwise undamaged. What I like about this piece is that the crystals point in various directions giving a look unlike a typical druse of crystals.

B561 - Azurite with Malachite $ 300 (=~ CAN$ 412)

Shockingly bright, electric blue Azurite crystals lining a large, shallow vug. The color is a more dark, vibrant royal blue than the photos indicate. The photos also don't capture the bright reflections of the crystals - they look like blue foil. These are so incredibly bright I had to take a second look to make sure they weren't Linarite or some other species. I've never Azurite seen like this before, though I have heard Bisbee produced similar Azurites to this at one time.

B562 - Scorodite SOLD

Ultra rare specimen of blue Scorodite crystals on drusy Quartz. The Cabrestante produced what are considered the world's finest Scorodite specimens. There were not many specimens found, including one pocket with brown quartz and another with the prefered white Quartz. This specimen has crystals to 1.3cm wide on white Quartz. There is some chipping to the surface of some of the crystals. Comes with old Fred Pough and Lawrence Conklin labels. The old Pough label incorectly lists the mine name as the Noche Buena Mine.

HUGE single Dravite crystal exhibiting the 'Usambara effect' color change (named after nearby mountains). This is a different type of color change than the Alexandrite effect, where the color changes in different types of lighting. In this case, the Dravite crystal appears green in normal lighting, however when a single light source is transmitted through the crystal, at a certain thickness, a sudden color shift from green to red is observed, while less thick areas remain green. This crystal is so large that the whole thing turns red with transmitted light, though if you hold it under normal lighting it will appear green. This by far the largest I've ever seen, as most are small button shaped crystals of 1-3 cm, and the alrgest I have ever owned was 2.5 x 1.1cm thick. Bottom photo shows the red color when placed over a flashlight.

Glassy, pink Kunzite crystal with excellent transparency. Perfect all around and rehealed at the bottom making it a floater. It's hard to find gem quality Kunzite with perfect form such as this, as most show some degree of etching.
