Beautiful sea-green Tourmaline (likely a Vanadian or Chromian Dravite) with an unidentified white mineral attached to one side. Perfect all around without damage, flaring out near the termination. This one is truely from Merelani, not from Landani (which are sometimes mislabelled as being from Merelani). Choice and rare crystal.

Stunning, gem quality Topaz set in snow-white blades of Albite. The Topaz is 3.5cm tall and undamaged. As a bonus there is a small crystal of what appears to be Apatite set atop the Albite blades.

TS206 - Smithsonite $ 250 (=~ AUS$ 381) SOLD
Tsumeb, Namibia
miniature - 3.3 x 2.2 x 2 cm

Smithsonite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/ts206a.jpg] Smithsonite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/ts206b.jpg]

Well formed crystals of yellow/pink Smithsonite on a sulfide matrix. The crystals reach 1.3 cm in size with some having an interesting bi-color of half yellow and half pink. These yellow Smithsonites are typically labelled as 'Cadmium Smithsonite', however my understanding is that this is not correct as the coloring agent is not known.

TS208 - Smithsonite $ 1750 (=~ AUS$ 2668) SOLD
Tsumeb, Namibia
miniature - 4.5 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm

Long, 4.5cm Smithsonite crystal on matrix with other smaller crystals. Beautiful and undamaged with a pinkish/orange coloration. These elongated crystals are rare and unique to Tsumeb.

Large, gemmy single Natrolite crystal. Crystals from this locality are considered to be the best of species, and this is a good one.

AF689 - Calcite on Ettringite $ 550 (=~ AUS$ 839) SOLD
N'Chwanning Mine, Kuruman, South Arfica
thumbnail - 2 x 1 x 0.7 cm

Superb Ettringite thumbnail, as fine quality as I've seen. It has top lemon yellow color (not pale yellow and chalky as are some of the large ones, and not brownish and 'woody' as some get) and it is undamaged. It is double-terminated with Calcites at one end providing accent. A highly choice Ettringite. Ex. Carl Acosta Collection.

NA123 - Fluorite $ 750 (=~ AUS$ 1144) SOLD
Hardin Co., Illinois
small cabinet - 5.5 x 4 x 4 cm

Yellow cubic Fluorite covered by stepped growth purple Fluorite. This was long held in a private collection, what I love about this specimen is the top glassy luster, really as good as it gets for Fluorite. It is also complete and undamaged (except for one tiny chip on a back edge you can't even see in these photos) and of super fine quality. Highly sculptural and somewhat rare formation.
