P102 - Rhodonite on Hedenbergite Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia thumbnail - 2.6 x 2.2 x 2.1 cm
Rare and colorful combo of translucent pink Rhodonite crystals attached to large Hedenbergite crystals. Hedenbergite crystals are uncommon worldwide but well known from Broken Hill, and this combo is uncommon.
P113 - Ludlockite Mina Oujela, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico small cabinet - 7 x 4 x 2 cm
Fibrous red/orange crystals of Ludlockite on metallic ore matrix from a recent find at the Ojuela Mine. The front shows a small area of Ludlockite in Selenite, and additional Ludlockite is present across the backside. This was found recently by a local miner searching for Legrandite and shipped directly to me from Mexico. A few specimens of Ludlockite from Mapimi were also available at the Tucson show in 2023. Ludlockite is a rare lead iron arsenite species and specimens were previously best known from the Type locality of Tsumeb. Ludlockite specimens from Tsumeb were found decades ago from a single boulder and are very hard to obtain. These recent specimens from Mexico make a once very difficult to obtain species available to collectors.
P250 - Quartz on Wulfenite M'Fouati, Bouenza Dept., Rep. of Congo small cabinet - 5.6 x 4 x 1.5 cm
Large, thick orange Wulfenite crystal coated by a layer of drusy Quartz crystals. This is a huge and impressive crystal measuring 5.6 x 4 x 1.1cm with a smaller partial crystal attached to the back. Note that the large crystal is complete, the back crystal is missing drusy Quartz along one edge revealing the inner Wulfenite. Ex. Carl Acosta collection.
P277 - Smithsonite on Tennantite Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 5.7 x 5 x 4.5 cm
Stunning specimen of large, exceptionally sharp crystals of black Tennantite. The main crystals is 4.5cm tall! Selected faces of the crystals are coated by sugary Smithsonite crystals. Ex. Carl Acosta collection.
P280 - Cerussite, Smithsonite Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 9 x 5 x 4.5 cm
Large, smokey Cerussite crystals on matrix. Both the matrix (top and bottom) and the Cerussite are coated by Smithsonite crystals. The largest Cerussite is 5cm wide and the backside of the larger crystal is free of Smithsonite revealing it's color, glassy luster, and transparency. There is some damage to the Cerussite crystals on the back and edges, but a large impressive piece nonetheless. Ex. Carl Acosta collection.
LP116 - Amblygonite Linopolis, Divino das Laranjeiras, Minas Gerais, Brazil thumbnail - 2 x 2 x 1.2 cm
Single crystal of translucent to transparent yellow Amblygonite. Amblygonite is a rare lithium-aluminum phosphate species that is not commonly seen in fine display quality crystals. This crystal is undamaged and complete all around. Translucent with transparent, some areas so etching and others are smooth with high glassy luster (better than photos show).
P484 - Willemite Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 6 x 5.5 x 2.5 cm
Translucent to transparent baby-blue Willemite with white Calcite from Tsumeb. The Willemite has a beautiful coloration and occurs as both botryoidal masses and sharp individual crystals, including one that is totally transparent. Ex. Neil Levett collection.
P825 - Nifontovite Charcas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico thumbnail - 1.8 x 0.5 x 0.4 cm
Sharp, transparent single Nifontovite crystal, an uncommon hydrated calcium borate mineral known only from a small number of localities worldwide, with the best found here at Charcas. Complete all around and undamaged and fully transparent top to bottom.
R107 - Emerald on Albite (R) Muzo Mine, Boyaca Dept., Colombia miniature - 5 x 4 x 3 cm
Well terminated 3.2cm Emerald crystal that has been reattached to a white Albite matrix. The Emerald is large and lustrous with small areas of transparency. The Albite is crystallized on the backside.

Large sculptural group of silvery metallic Acanthite crystals. Complete all around and undamaged. Acquired at the Tucson show in the early 2000s.
R362 - Franklinite on Calcite Franklin, Sussex Co., New Jersey, USA cabinet - 12 x 8 x 7.5 cm
Impressive specimen of large black Franklinite crystals on white Calcite. The largest crystal is 4.5cm in size. I love how the main crystal projects out the front, well centered and almost completly exposed from the Calcite.
