B759 - Calcite $ 250 SOLD Wessels Mine, South Africa small cabinet - 5.3 x 5 x 1.7 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Transparent Calcite rhomb with later geneation overgrowths. The larger overgrowths are transparent and the smaller overgrowths are extremely bright and reflective, much better than the photos. Ex. E.J. Immelman and P. de Bruyn collections dating back to at least 1997.

The crossing crystal is 8cm and double terminated. These are unusual, USA classics collected decades ago and the locality is now closed to collecting. Ex. Chuck Trantham collection.

There are good Diopside crystals all over, front, back, top, and bottom. There are also areas with good Graphite crystals.

LL484 - Ettringite $ 300 N'Chwanning Mine, Kuruman, South Africa thumbnail - 2.5 x 2 x 1.8 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Intergrown group of lemon yellow Ettringite crystals. Main crystal is double-terminated and thick at 1.7 x 1.5 cm. There is also a small metallic black tabular crystal sticking out one side, possibly Hematite.
LL482 - Copper in Calcite $ 450 SOLD Keweenaw Peninsula, Michigan, USA thumbnail - 2.6 x 2.5 x 2.3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Gem-like double-terminated Calcite crystal with attached and included Copper. The crystal is 1.7cm wide and undamaged. You can see right thought it to the matrix. There are smaller Calcite crystals present too. Ex. Bob Reynolds collection.
B321 - Dioptase $ 500 Katanga Prov., Congo miniature - 4.5 x 4 x 3.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Solid cluster of nothing but Dioptase crystals, with the focus on a central, large upright crystal. Main crystal is 1.5cm in diameter, rises up 1.5cm higher than the others, and is undamaged.
SA720 - Brazilianite $ 300 Telerio Mine, Mendes Pimental, Minas Gerais, Brazil miniature - 3.7 x 3.0 x 2.4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Attractive cluster of glassy and gemmy Brazilianite with the main crystal a thick 3.5cm long crystal. Undamaged and sits upright on its own.
LL824 - Indicolite on Albite $ 1500 SOLD Kunar, Afghanistan miniature - 3.7 x 3.6 x 2.8 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Well terminated 2.8cm blue Tourmaline crystal wreathed in bladed Albite along with a glassy Quartz crystal. The Indicolite has it's best color and transparency at the top, right where it counts the most. Undamaged and great composition.
LL812 - Vivianite $ 800 Huanuni Mine, Dalence Prov., Oruru Department, Bolivia miniature - 4.5 x 2.4 x 1.4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Transparent blue/green double-terminated Vivianite crystal with attached radial crystals of Siderite. Complete all around and undamaged. This one has it all - great color, transparency, and double-terminated form which is uncommon.
TZ252 - Prehnite $ 300 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania miniature - 4 x 2.5 x 1.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Blue Prehnite specimen about as good as these get form wise as most of these are massess of crystals with at least some damage around the edges. This is a clean group front and back, nearly a floater with some traces of Graphite on the bottom where it was attached. These have a nice color change between shades of blue in different lighting.
E597 - Rhodochrosite and Sphalerite on Pyrite psuedo. Pyrrhotite $ 350 Trepca Mine, Stanterg, Kosovo small cabinet - 7.5 x 5 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 4cm wide by 3.5cm tall crystal of Pyrrhotite that has been replaced by Pyrite, coated by pale pink spheres of Rhodochrosite.
C688 - Hausmanite $ 900 N'Chwanning II Mine, Kuruman, South Africa small cabinet - 9 x 5.5 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Matrix covered by Andradite crystals in turn coated by numerous well formed Hausmanite crystals. Clean and undamaged. Comes with a Wendel Minerals label that indicates it was formerly part of the Mayer collection.
