SV494 - Pyromorphite $ 1800 (=~ € 1653) Friedrichssegen Mine, Bad Ems, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany miniature - 5 x 3 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large single compound crystal of Pyromorphite from the Friedrichssegen Mine in Germany. The specimen has the classic form and color for the mine. There are two missing crystals in the lower center area, otherwise in pristine condition all around. Comes with an old Gene Schlepp label.
SV459 - Copper with Prehnite Osceola Mine, Houghton Co., Michigan, USA cabinet - 9.5 x 8.5 x 7.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Massive Calcite, Prehnite and Copper with a crystallized vug of the same species. There is a large 4cm Copper crystal in the vug as well as a mass of Prehnite that rises up and contains 2 well formed Copper crystals to 2.5cm wide.
SV512 - Langite Mountain Mine, Alhillies, County Cork, Ireland small cabinet - 7 x 5 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Blue to blue-green Langite covering the front surface of specimen. The Langite is more green at the bottom and a more intense teal blue with better crystals at the top. Langite is a rare copper sulfate, some of the best of which are found in Ireland. Ex. SV514 - Gold $ 1500 (=~ € 1378) St. Patricks Pocket, Lecanvey Prospect, Croagh Patrick, Co. Mayo, Ireland miniature - 5 x 3.5 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Abundant Gold and black sulfides in an open pocket of vuggy Quartz. Mined in April 2007 from the 'B' vein of the Lecanvey prospect. The mountain where this was found, Croagh Patrick, is famous as Ireland's holy mountain, where it's patron saint, Patrick, is said to have fasted and prayed. St. Patrick's pocket was a small area of porous quartz where sulfide (likely pyrite) had long ago oxidised and washed out, leaving the Gold. This is considered an exceptionally rich specimen from the find. The Gold is approximately 85% gold and 15% silver. Ex. Tim Sherburn collection.

SV531 - Smithsonite with Fluorite $ 300 (=~ € 276) Sheshodonnell East Mine, Carron, The Burren, Co. Clare, Ireland cabinet - 11 x 7 x 5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Vuggy specimen of bright yellow cadmium Smithsonite and purple Fluorite. Botryoidal, satiny Smithsonite is present in open vugs all around the specimen. The Sheshodonnell East Mine is a small former zinc mine that was worked in about 1862-63 (per MINDAT). The miners were lookng for the sphalerite and the smithsonite was placed in the dumps, and collected about 100 years later. Ex. Tim Sherburn collection.

SV362 - Zincolivenite (formerly Cuprian Adamite) $ 200 (=~ € 184) Tsumeb, Namibia thumbnail - 3 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Isolated bright green crystals of Zincolivenite (a mineral formerly known as Cuprian Adamite) with Cerussite. The crystals reach 0.5cm in size and contrast well against the dark matrix.
SV350 - Willemite $ 500 (=~ € 459) Tsumeb, Namibia miniature - 5 x 3.5 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Deep blue, botryoidal Willemite coating matrix. The Willemite is translucent and here are small blue/green Rosaite spheres in association.
SV330 - Creedite $ 280 (=~ € 257) Mina Navidad, Rodeo, Durango, Mexico small cabinet - 5.5 x 4.5 x 4.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Spherical cluster of orange Creedite crystals from Mexico with crystals sticking out in all directions. The mine is a brecciated Fluorite vein and the Creedite occurs in clay filled voids in the Breccia, allowing for specimens such as this one that are crystallized all around.
MK104 - Alexandrite $ 750 (=~ € 689) Novello Mine, Masvingo, Zimbabwe miniature - 3.7 x 3.2 x 1.2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rare Alexandrite crystal cluster from Zimbabwe. These are most commonly seen as individual crystals embedded in a hard black schist. This one is nothing but solid crystals!!! The crystals reach 1.3cm in size and have a green and purple color change. Good on both sides.
