LL851 - Erythrite $ 1600 Bou Azzer Mine, Ouarzazate Province, Draa-Tafilalet Region, Morocco small cabinet - 6.5 x 3.5 x 3.5 cm Crystals of bright purple Erythrite with individual crystals to 3cm in size. Excellent for the species!
LL878 - Selenite on Calcite casts $ 1250 Darwin Mining District, Darwin Hills, Inyo Co., California, USA cabinet - 15 x 9 x 6.5 cm Large, transparent colorless Gypsum var. Selenite crystals atop cream-colored Calcite casts. The Calcite has attached and included small crystals of a golden metallic mineral, possibly Pyrite. The largest Selenite is 6.2cm and pristine. An exceptional specimen for the locality. A very artistic and sculptural specimen.
LL855 - Azurite $ 2600 Tsumeb, Namibia miniature - 4 x 3 x 2.5 cm Large blocky single Azurite crystal with large, flat, lustrous faces. All faces are present (front, back, left, right, top, and bottom), each with varying amounts of attached reddish rock matrix. Nearly pristine with some edge chipping, a shockingly amazing big blocky crystal.
LL915 - Malachite on Cerussite $ 2500 Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 6 x 3.5 x 3 cm Glassy star-shaped Cerussite crystal with an uncommon association of spheres of Malachite and lighter green Duftite. This is a highly showy specimen in pristine condition. All 'rays' of the 'star' are terminated, and there is surprsing no chipping or damage for such an old specimen of a brittle spieces.
LL24 - Mottramite on Calcite Tsumeb, Namibia cabinet - 9.5 x 5 x 5 cm Large rhombic Calcite crystals comepletely coated by thick, large crystals of dark green Mottramite intergrown with a second generation of lenitcular Calcite crystals. Clean and undamaged, an excellent Mottramite specimen.
LL25 - Zincolivenite (Cuprian Adamite) on Quartz $ 1800 Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 8.5 x 4.5 x 4 cm Good sized specimen covered on all sides by green Zincolivenite crystals (formerly known as Cuprian Adamite). Hundreds of crystals on this this one, the richest example I've ever had. Individual crystals reach 6mm and there are also fingers of dark green Mottramite in various areas. An amazing specimen.
LL919 - Pyromorphite $ 2000 Kintore Open Cut, Broken Hill, NSW, Australia small cabinet - 6 x 5 x 4.5 cm Cluster of large, translucent brown Pyromorphite crystals rising up off a small amount of matrix. Individual crystals reach 3cm in size. This is a good Pyromorphite from anywhere, and an exceptional piece from Broken Hill. Comes with an old Al Ordway label.
LL920 - Linarite, Caledonite $ 800 Reward Mine, Inyo Co., California, USA cabinet - 10.5 x 8 x 5 cm Brilliant deep blue bladed crystals of Linarite and areas of blue/green Caledonite on multiple faces of this large specimen. The Reward Mine is former Gold and Silver mine located in the Inyo Mountains at an elevation of 4,500 feet and is well known for it's Linarite and Caledonite specimens. This one is also a historic specimen, an ex. John Sinkankas specimen with 'JS/LN1' painted on the back.
LL691 - Veszelyite $ 350 Dongchuan, Kunming, Yunnan, China miniature - 5 x 4 x 2.8 cm A 9mm cluster of blue Veszelyite crystals on matrix. This is from a new find made in July 2020 at an old Zinc mine located about about 400 kilometers away from previous Veszelyite finds made at the Laochang Mine (also in Yunnan Prov.). Veszelyite from ANYWHERE are rare and desireable, and these new specimens have an added bonus of sometimes forming fan-shaped clusters such as this one. The cluster is well isolated, complete and undamaged all around.
LL972 - Azurite $ 500 Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico miniature - 4.4 x 2.5 x 1.5 cm A group of interconnected Azurite crystals with little stringers of 'spider-web' Malachite attached to the backside. Floater cluster composed of double-terminated crystals. Great, characteristic specimen from the watercourse pocket. Undamaged with highly lustrous crystals all over - nothing but great crystals!
LL962 - Azurite $ 200 Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico thumbnail - 2.8 x 2.7 x 1.5 cm A group of interconnected Azurite crystals with little stringers of 'spider-web' Malachite attached to the backside. Near floater cluster with a tiny point of contact on the bottom where it was attached to the pocket wall. Great, characteristic specimen from the watercourse pocket. Undamaged with highly lustrous crystals to 1.6cm - nothing but great crystals!
LL963 - Azurite $ 175 Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico miniature - 3.4 x 2.5 x 2 cm A group of interconnected Azurite crystals that are partially pseudomorphed to Malachite from the inside out (you can see the green cores on a couple incomplete crystals on the edges). This give the crystal an amazing 'electric' blue coloration.
ST105 - Dioptase on Chrysocolla $ 450 Ray Mine, Pinal Co., Arizona, USA small cabinet - 8.5 x 5.5 x 3 cm Colorful specimen of rounded masses covered by drusy Dioptase over translucent Chrysocolla atop a dark black matrix. Old Arizona classic that is now hard to come by. Pristine.
LL990 - Scheelite on Muscovite $ 275 Mt Xuebaoding, Ping Wu, Sichuan Prov., China small cabinet - 5.5 x 4.5 x 3.7 cm Transparent to translucent Scheelite octahedra to 2.2 cm on Muscovite. Aesthetic stacked group of crystals.
