K797 - Spinel $ 225 Mahenge, Morogoro, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.5 x 2.3 x 1.8 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pink Spinel from Mahenge is world famous for incredible faceted gemstones and much of what is found is used for gems. This is an uncommon, nearly complete octahedral crystal with just a small amount of chipping on one tip, otherwise undamaged and lustrous all around. Weighs 13.37 grams.

K781 - Pyrite $ 150 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania miniature - 4.5 x 4.5 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large, complex single Pyrite crystal with high luster. The exotic crystal forms and high luster of Merelani Pyrite make it my favorite of any Pyrite found. There are two smaller attached crystals and it's contacted on the base, otherwise complete all around with just a few chips and great overall form and presentation.

K832 - Kulanite $ 280 Stoneman Camp, Young Creek, Yukon, Canada thumbnail - 2.9 x 2.2 x 1.8 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Exceptional specimen of the rare phosphate mineral Kulanite. These are often found as specimens with small drusy crystals. This specimen has a large isolated crystal/compound crystal (?) 1cm wide along with other smaller, isolated crystals. Out of an old collection.

K956 - Fergusonite $ 250 Ishikawa, Japan thumbnail - 2.2 x 1.5 x 0.6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Well formed single crystal of Fergusonite, a rare Yttrium nobium oxide species. Single crystal complete all around and sharp for the species - a hard to find species in good crystals. A rare addtion to a thumbnail suite or Japanese collection.
K939 - Apophyllite $ 350 Rahuri, Maharashtra State, India miniature - 5 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Colorless Apophyllite that has overgrown another tan colored Zeolite to create a 'disco ball' formation. I remeber these were available once about 5-6 years ago and I've not seen them since, this one released recently from a private collection. Sparkly and undamaged.
K943 - Galena $ 200 Sweetwater Mine, Reynolds Co., Missouri, USA small cabinet - 6 x 4 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Single, somewhat rectangular crystal of Galena sitting upright on a small amount of matrix. Complete all around and more aesthetic than most.
K527 - Spessartine $ 650 Nani, Loliondo, Tanzania thumbnail - 3 x 3 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Complete 'citrus' orange Spessartine crystal from old finds in Tanzania. These were mostly found as partial or damaged crystals with perfect complete crystals such as this much less common. Equant form with very minimal edge wear, otherwise no damage. There are a few small areas of black Braunite inclusions, otherwise it's nothing but gemmy orange. These were often cut up into spectacular gemstones, and this one could cut a number of small gems.
