C704 - Clinoatacamite with Calcite $ 1250 (=~ € 1142) Lily Mine, Ica Department, Peru miniature - 5 x 3.5 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large and especially fine quality Clinoatacamite crystals with white Calcite over a layer of Malachite. These are regarded as the world's best Clinoatacamite specimens, and this is a good one. The crystals are all pristine. They were protected by a layer of Selenite that I dissolved away, leaving these perfect crystals. Individual crystals reach 1.3cm wide. The Lily Mine is now closed.

This is an undamaged floater with cream colored Barite crystals attached to the backside. This is a self collected specimen and the single best piece from a large pocket I found there approximately 15 years ago.

It's nearly a floater with a small point of contact at the base, otherwise complete all around and undamaged.

This is an uncommon example well crystallized all around, characteristic of open pocket growth and not growth in tight, contacted seams as are most. Translucent, thick and sturdy. Undamaged.
