J382 - Fluorite and Quartz on Hematite $ 300 (=~ £ 240) Egremont, Cumbria, England miniature - 5 x 4.5 x 2 cm Red Hematite matrix with typical black Hematite crystals (both sides) and Quartz crystals (one side). What is uncommon is the presence of Fluorite crystals which occur as transparent cubes of about 3mm.
J383 - Arsenopyrite with Quartz $ 350 (=~ £ 280) Panasquiera, Portugal cabinet - 10 x 4.5 x 4 cm Bright, silvery crystals of Arseonpyrite with Quartz crystals. Showy Panasquiera classic in great condition.
J385 - Hematite in Quartz $ 350 (=~ £ 280) Egremont, Cumbria, England small cabinet - 6.5 x 5 x 3 cm Highly lustrous Quartz crystals with silvery/black Hematite crystals just under the surface of the Quartz crystals. Undamaged, with old collection numbers attached to the bottom.
J386 - Azurite with Malachite $ 280 (=~ £ 224) Liufengshan Mine, Anhui Province, China small cabinet - 9 x 5 x 5 cm Highly lustrous Azurite crystals, some partially psuedomorphed to Malachite. Besides the main coverage of crystals on top, there are also many vugs of crystals on the sides and bottom. Undamaged old specimen, with old collection number attached to the bottom.
J391 - Brookite in Quartz Kharan, Balochistan, Pakistan small cabinet - 5.5 x 3 x 3 cm Sharp, water clear Quartz crystals included by Brookite crystals. The main Quartz crystal is double-terminated. The Brookite crystals have fine hair-like needles of Rutile extending off the crystal surfaces. Fine and undamaged, one of the better examples from this occurrence that I've seen.
J376 - Arsenopyrite with Quartz $ 950 (=~ £ 760) Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan, China cabinet - 13 x 10 x 7.5 cm Lustrous metallic Arseonpyrite crystals with large Quartz crystals. This would be a great addition to a Yaogangxian or Chinese mineral collection. Large, showy eye-catching specimen.
J393 - Chabazite on Prehnite $ 275 (=~ £ 220) Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania miniature - 3.3 x 2.5 x 2 cm Large translucent yellow Prehnite crystals with attached blue/grey Chabazite crystals.
C691 - Wulfenite $ 1800 (=~ £ 1439) Red Cloud Mine, Trigo Mtns., Arizona, USA small cabinet - 8 x 6.5 x 2.5 cm Flat matrix with red/orange Wulfenite crystals to 2cm. Undamaged - I can't find a single chip on any of the crystals. Ex. Jelks collection.
C693 - Liddicoatite $ 2300 (=~ £ 1839) Betafo District, Antananarivo Province, Madagascar miniature - 4.5 x 2.6 x 2.5 cm Thick single Liddicoatite crystal with lots of color variation as you move up the crystal, ending in a transparent, colorless 'Achroite' termination. In excellent condition with perfect, glassy termination faces and just a small bit of edge wear on one edge near the base, otherwise complete all around and undamaged. Weighs 50.76 grams.
C694 - Dolomite with Hematite $ 950 (=~ £ 760) Brumado Mine, Bahia, Brazil miniature - 4 x 3 x 2.5 cm Water clear Dolomite crystal with included and attached silvery blades of Hematite. The Brumado mine is best known for Uvite and Magnesite but also produces other really interesting pieces such as pink Topaz, Emeralds, and superb Dolomite. The large Dolomite is twinned and tabular, with the smaller crytals at the base a mixture of both untwinned rhombs and tabular twins. Showy and lustrous, complete all around. The right side is smooth and lustrous but appears to be a cleavage face. Comes mounted on a Lucite stand. Unusual, aesthetic specimen!
C695 - Copper $ 3500 (=~ £ 2798) Houghton Co., Keweenaw Penisula, Michigan, USA small cabinet - 8.7 x 6 x 3 cm Cluster of large, well formed Copper crystals with good patina in colors of reds to browns. Undamaged.
C698 - Tourmaline $ 1500 (=~ £ 1199) Paprok, Nuristan, Afghanistan small cabinet - 6.3 x 1 x 1 cm Classic Paprok Tourmaline in colors of pink and greens. Good transparency and overall brightness. Undamaged with attached lepidolite. Weighs 14.84 grams.
C704 - Clinoatacamite with Calcite $ 1250 (=~ £ 999) Lily Mine, Ica Department, Peru miniature - 5 x 3.5 x 3 cm Large and especially fine quality Clinoatacamite crystals with white Calcite over a layer of Malachite. These are regarded as the world's best Clinoatacamite specimens, and this is a good one. The crystals are all pristine. They were protected by a layer of Selenite that I dissolved away, leaving these perfect crystals. Individual crystals reach 1.3cm wide. The Lily Mine is now closed.
J571 - Azurite $ 350 (=~ £ 280) Shi Lu Copper Mine, Guangdong Province, China miniature - 4.5 x 4 x 3.5 cm Fine floater cluster of Azurite crystals with a good, bright blue color (not too dark or black). Complete all around and undamaged.
J512 - Fluorite with Barite $ 400 (=~ £ 320) Boulder Hill Mine, Wellington, Nevada, USA cabinet - 10.5 x 7.5 x 4 cm Translucent to transparent Fluorite crystals with distinct grey phantoms. This is an undamaged floater with cream colored Barite crystals attached to the backside. This is a self collected specimen and the single best piece from a large pocket I found there approximately 15 years ago.
