J42 - Cuprite with Copper $ 500 Chino Mine, Santa Rita District, Grant County, New Mexico, USA cabinet - 11.5 x 6.6 x 4.6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() An old-time specimen of deep red color Cuprite crystals and bronze color native Copper crystals. A bit of white color brecciated Quartz matrix still remains. Weight is just under 1lb at 14.1oz. Large display quality Copper with nice color added by the Cuprite.
J48 - Rhodochrosite $ 260 Santa Eulalia, Chihuahua, Mexico small cabinet - 5.5 x 5.5 x 4.0 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A gemmy 'ball' of small Rhodochrosite crystals rests in the center of dark gray matrix. Two other areas also show Rhodochrosite crystals, but the center group is the main point of attraction. When seen with the aid of magnification, you will find dozens of millimeter size clear cubic Fluorite crystals in the matrix areas that host the Rhodochrosite.
J50 - Silver with Acanthite Uchucchacua Mine, Peru miniature - 3.7 x 3.2 x 3.0 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Silver wires and patches of native Silver with areas of Acanthite rising from a black sulfide rich matrix. Estimated length of the longest Silver wire is about 2cm. There are a number of good wires present. These are no longer being found.
J64 - Axinite $ 220 Butte County, California thumbnail - 2.7 x 2.3 x 2.1 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() A rare specimen from Butte County in California showing a cluster of bladed, light brown, Axinite crystals. The largest crystal has clear areas and is in very good condition with only a small amount of microscopic chipping. Murdoch, Joseph & Robert W. Webb (1966), in Minerals of California, notes an occurrence near the Feather River and Yankee Hill areas, but little else is known. Comes mounted in a 1.25-inch perky box with an original old faded label. A true rarity for the California collector and much better than photos.

These Daoping Cerussites are among the most colorful for the species and it appears they are from a one time or limited find from several years ago. The crystal has flat, lustrous front and back faces and highly complex terminatation growth along the edges. The only visible contact on this specimen is minor chipping at the bottom near a small amount of wall matrix. Otherwise, near perfect.

These Daoping Cerussites are among the most colorful for the species and it appears they are from a one time or limited find from several years ago. The crystal group has flat, lustrous front and back faces and highly complex terminatation growth along the edges. It's actually an intergrowth of two crystal groups, one turned slightly to a different angle than the main group. The only visible contact is at the bottom near the remaining small bit of matrix.

Minor damage to one side of the edge terminations and near the bottom where a small bit of matrix remains.

This is a complete crystal all around with a few small natural surface pits and minor black inclusions. Rich bright citrus orange coloration throughout with a few gemmy areas. Weighs 151 carats.

C665 - Shattuckite $ 350 L'Etoile, Lumbumbashi, Katanga, Congo (DRC) small cabinet - 6 x 5.5 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Solid mass of Shattuckite and Malachite with a thin coating of Chrysocolla on the outside. The Shattuckite forms satiny, fibrous radial groups with Malachite filling the spaces in between.
J89 - Amethyst $ 250 Jackson's Crossroads, Wilkes Co., Georgia, USA small cabinet - 6 x 5 x 3.2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Cluster of glassy Amethyst crystals from 2018 finds. Good purple color. Fine and undamaged.
