T895 - Chrome Tourmaline $ 450 Commander Mine, Nadonjukin, Simanjiro, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.4 x 1 x 0.9 cm ![]() ![]() Terminated single gem crystal of Chrome Tourmaline which is a chromium and vanadium rich Dravite. Complete all around with deep emerald green coloration in the upper half and a more olive green at the base. Fantastic color and mostly gem quality with just a few interanl veils. Undamaged. From a spectacular pocket opened in 2016. Weighs 2.3 grams.
T898 - Dravite $ 480 Mwajanga, near Komolo, Tanzania small cabinet - 5.5 x 2.7 x 1.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Parallel, intergrown Dravite crystals. The crystals are dark and grade up to a clear zone followed by bright blue caps. Unlike most, the dark zone on these crystals are mostly transparent (see backlit photos). Hand picked from hundreds for quality.
