T240 - Barite $ 400 El'brusskiy Arsenic Mine, Elbrus Mt., Northern Caucasus Region, Russia miniature - 4.3 x 2.5 x 1.3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Gem quality golden brown crystal complete all around. In excellent condition for this locality, with only some minor edge chipping. Fully transparent internally, so much so you see right through it and some of what looks like inclusions in the photos are really just shadows from some irregular surface areas on the lower backside of the crystal.
T241 - Indicolite $ 2500 Pederniera Mine, Minas Gerais, Brazil small cabinet - 9 x 0.8 x 0.7 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Long single gem 'pencil' with a good termination at one end. Fully transparent for the entire crystal - gem facet rough quality. Undamaged.
T242 - Kunzite $ 500 Kunar Province, Afghanistan small cabinet - 8 x 2.2 x 2.1 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Transparent purple/yellow Kunzite crystal with a sharpness of form not typical for the species. Uniform prism faces and nice flat termination faces. The bottom has rehealed, so technically double terminated though the bottom faces are not as complete and nice as the top termination. One shallow chip on one edge, otherwise completely undamaged and very clean looking.
T248 - Tourmaline $ 4000 Barra de Salinas, Minas Gerais, Brazil small cabinet - 6.8 x 2.3 x 2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Exquisite cluster of brightly colored watermelon Tourmaline with flat, glassy terminations. There is one small incomplete crystal at the base, otherwise all the crystals are perfect and undamaged. Weighs 29.8 grams.
T252 - Topaz $ 400 Klein Spitzkoppe, Erongo Region, Namibia small cabinet - 5.5 x 4.5 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Light blue single Topaz crystal with wonderful growth patterns on the termination faces. In overall great condition but with chipping on one lower face.
T255 - Rhodochrosite $ 300 Mont St. Hilaire, Quebec, Canada miniature - 4.5 x 3 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cluster of thick rhombs of red Rhodochrosite. This is from a recent find and we are more accustomed to seeing small wafer-like, twin Rhodo crystals from here, rather than these large, thick crystals. Crystals reach 2.5cm wide. Undamaged with some etched areas, mostly on the backside.
T276 - Diopside $ 800 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 3 x 1 x 0.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Rich chrome green Diopside crystal from the famous December 2007 find that produced Diopsides with a vivid, rich green color, far and away better than average Merelani Diopside. This is a fine single crystal complete all around with good luster. Undamaged.
T277 - Diopside $ 500 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania miniature - 3.4 x 1 x 0.6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Rich chrome green Diopside crystal from the famous December 2007 find that produced Diopsides with a vivid, rich green color, far and away better than average Merelani Diopside. This is a fine single crystal complete all around with good luster. Undamaged with slight intergrowths of Graphite on one side.
T298 - Tourmaline $ 1250 Barra de Salinas, Minas Gerais, Brazil miniature - 4.6 x 1.2 x 1 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Brightly colored watermelon Tourmaline with a flat, glassy termination. In addition to the strong red and green colors, there is a small yellow zone between the red and green. One very tiny nick on the termination edge, otherwise perfect and undamaged. Weighs 12.6 grams.
T299 - Tourmaline $ 460 Barra de Salinas, Minas Gerais, Brazil thumbnail - 2.5 x 1.0 x 0.8 cm ![]() ![]() Brightly colored watermelon Tourmaline with a flat, glassy termination. In addition to the strong red and green colors, there is a small yellow zone between the red and green. Perfect and undamaged. Weighs 4.6 grams.
T311 - Aquamarine $ 400 Ambatondrazaka, Madagascar small cabinet - 6.5 x 1.7 x 1.3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Single Aquamarine crystal with good medium blue color. Double terminated and lightly etched. No damage.
T315 - Wulfenite $ 290 M'Fouti District, Republic of Congo thumbnail - 2 x 1.8 x 1.0 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Single translucent yellow crystal on matrix. Undamaged though back edge is contacted where it grew against the pocket wall.
T321 - Diopside on Graphite $ 290 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.8 x 0.6 x 0.3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Fine and undamaged single Diopside on Graphite. Great color and uniform shape. Hard to find this good.
T328 - Chrome Tourmaline $ 650 Landani, Tanzania thumbnail - 2 x 1.4 x 1.4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Single chromium and vanadium rich Dravite crystal with exceptional color. Many of these are very dark, this one really explodes with saturated deep green color, way beter than most. Undamaged.
T329 - Chrome Tourmaline $ 350 Landani, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.6 x 1.4 x 1.2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Single chromium and vanadium rich Dravite crystal with an unusually elongated form for the locality. The body is dark green with vivid, emerald green color at the terminations. Undamaged.
