T483 - Apatite $ 250 (=~ AUS$ 381) Karo Pit, Block D, Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.3 x 0.7 x 0.5 cm Terminated single gem crystal of blue Apatite. Superb luster and facet grade for it's entire length. Undamaged though backside is indented where another crystal grew.
T503 - Elbaite on Quartz $ 300 (=~ AUS$ 457) Himalaya Mine, San Diego Co., California, USA thumbnail - 2.8 x 2 x 2 cm Two gemmy Tourmaline crystals on a Quartz crystal. This is one I've had for about 40 years, purchased from Fraziers rock shop in Berkeley back in the 70s.
T506 - Azurite $ 4500 (=~ AUS$ 6862) Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico small cabinet - 6.5 x 4.5 x 4 cm Cluster of spikey, upright Azurite crystals on a contrasting white matrix. The Azurite crystals are partially pseudomorphed to Malachite and reach 3.5cm in length. Displays well from many angles.
T514 - Apatite $ 280 (=~ AUS$ 427) Panasquiera Mine, Barroca Grande, Beira Baxia, Portugal small cabinet - 5.5 x 4 x 1.5 cm Group of glassy Apatite crystals on a mica covered matrix. The apatite crystals have a nice pink color with a darker central band. Undamaged.
T533 - Zircon on Quartz $ 350 (=~ AUS$ 534) Mt. Malosa, Malawi cabinet - 10.5 x 3 x 3 cm Transparent Smokey Quartz crystal with attached Zircons. The Zircon crystals are good sized for the locality, reaching 2.1cm. Undamaged.
T545 - Rosasite, Smithsonite on Tennantite $ 340 (=~ AUS$ 518) Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 7.5 x 4.5 x 3 cm A matrix covered by Dolomite and Quartz crystals with areas of blue Rosasite and Tennatite crystals coated by green Smithsonite.
T550 - Cuprian Adamite $ 450 (=~ AUS$ 686) Tsumeb, Namibia thumbnail - 2.2 x 1.5 x 1.5 cm Undamaged clusters of deep forest green, slightly curving crystals of Cuprian Adamite on matrix.
T559 - Magnesio Axinite $ 450 (=~ AUS$ 686) Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.3 x 1.8 x 0.3 cm Single, complete Magnesio Axinite crystal. These are only found spradically at Merelani, and even when found, are mostly just fragments of crystals. This is an uncommonly complete crystal, relatively undamaged with just a little chatter along one edge.
T563 - Diopside $ 400 (=~ AUS$ 610) Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.8 x 1.1 x 0.5 cm Single Diopside with the top chrome green coloration. A funny thing about Merelani Diopsides is that the highly transparent crystals have lighter color, and crystals like this one, with the top color, have less transparency. There are two indentations from other crystals on one narrow side, otherwise complete and undamaged all around.
T566 - Tsavorite on Graphite $ 1200 (=~ AUS$ 1830) Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.1 x 1.1 x 1 cm Outstanding small thumbnail composed of two interconnected GEM Tsavorite crystal on Graphite. Flawless gem Tsavorite crystals are hard to come by because the cutting value is so high they are almost always cut as gemstones. This specimen has two glass-like, undamaged crystals, though one has a indentation where another Tsavorite was formerly located.
T567 - Tsavorite, Diopside on Graphite $ 1600 (=~ AUS$ 2440) Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.9 x 1.6 x 1.6 cm Crystallized Graphite with light green Diopside and vivid green Tsavorite crystals. Tsavorite crystals are 8mm and very gemmy with excellent color. Undamaged, uncommon and showy Merelani combo specimen.
T569 - Pyrite on Tsavorite $ 150 (=~ AUS$ 229) Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 cm A recent surprise from Merelani are these elongated Tsavorite crystals. This one is a glassy green crystal, undamaged, and beautifully accented by Pyrite crystals.
T603 - Pyromorphite $ 750 (=~ AUS$ 1144) 9 Level, Jersey Vein, Bunker Hill Mine, Kellogg, Idaho, USA small cabinet - 7 x 5 x 3 cm Yellow/green Pyromorphite crystals covering matrix. The crystals have an incredible wet looking luster and are undamaged.
T611 - Rose Quartz on Quartz $ 500 (=~ AUS$ 762) Sapucaia, Minas Gerais, Brazil small cabinet - 7 x 6 x 4.5 cm A large single white Quartz crystals that has been coated by Rose Quartz crystals across the front faces and wrapping around the back. The Rose Quartz is in turn sprinkled with Eosphorite. A good sized, colorful specimen and undamaged.
T624 - Tourmaline $ 1500 (=~ AUS$ 2287) Alto Ligonha, Mozambique small cabinet - 5.2 x 2.6 x 2.0 cm Terminated single Tourmaline crystal with a pink red color and a very thin green cap. This is an old piece in relatively good condition with just a bit of chipping on the back termination edge. It's nicely translucent with an etched base and weighs 51.8 grams. This was recently released from a collection.
