T425 - Inesite, Hubeite on Quartz $ 1650 (=~ CAN$ 2264) Daye Mine, Hubei Prov., China small cabinet - 9 x 6 x 4.5 cm Floater specimen of intergrown Quartz crystals covered on one side by Inesite, Hubeite (rare!), and Pyrite. The tip of the large Quartz crystal has damage, but this specimen is really about the great coverage of Inesite and Hubeite. These are now uncommon and no longer being found.
T430 - Cuprian Smithsonite Kamareza Mine, Laurium, Greece small cabinet - 6.5 x 5 x 4 cm Satiny, globular crystals of Cuprian Smithsonite on a limonite matrix. Ex. Robert Philips collection.
T450 - Tourmaline $ 1000 (=~ CAN$ 1372) Barra de Salinas, Minas Gerais, Brazil thumbnail - 2.5 x 1.5 x 1.3 cm Single Tourmaline with excellent color!!! This is from a pocket found in 2016. If you are looking for well saturated color that stands up to strong light, then this one is for you. Bright red/pink body color, followed by a thin zone of yellow, then a green cap. Weighs 10.4 grams. One very small nick along the termination edge, otherwise undamaged.
T457 - Quartz $ 450 (=~ CAN$ 618) Goboboseb Mountains, Brandberg Region, Namibia small cabinet - 5.6 x 2.4 x 1.5 cm Top quality undamaged smokey and amethyst crystal. Great luster and undamaged. Perfect in every way as a crystal, but putting it over the top is a massive, 1.2cm blob of a moving bubble right in the mid to top center of the crystal.
T462 - Cinnabar $ 280 (=~ CAN$ 384) Fenghuang, Hunan, China small cabinet - 5.5 x 4 x 4 cm Quartz crystals and Dolomite lined vug with a perfect 1.3 cm 'drill-bit' twinned Cinnabar crystal.
T475 - Eosphorite on Rose Quartz $ 500 (=~ CAN$ 686) Sapucaia Mine, Minas Gerais, Brazil small cabinet - 8.5 x 5 x 2.5 cm Crystallized Rose Quartz with Eosphorite crystals to 1.2cm sprinkled across the top. The Eosphorite occurs with small white crytals of an unidentified species. Ex. Fred Pough collection with label.
T479 - Siegenite $ 180 (=~ CAN$ 247) Buick Mine, Reynolds Co., Missouri, USA miniature - 4 x 2 x 2 cm Approximately 20 crystals of the hard to find mineral Siegenite on matrix. Siegenite is a rare cobalt, nickel sulfide. The Siegenite crystals on this specimen are partially coated by a fine layer of Pyrite crystals. Wonderful specimen of this rare species.
T481 - Apatite Karo Pit, Block D, Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.2 x 0.5 x 0.4 cm Terminated single gem crystal of blue Apatite. Superb luster and facet grade for it's entire length.
T483 - Apatite $ 250 (=~ CAN$ 343) Karo Pit, Block D, Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.3 x 0.7 x 0.5 cm Terminated single gem crystal of blue Apatite. Superb luster and facet grade for it's entire length. Undamaged though backside is indented where another crystal grew.
T503 - Elbaite on Quartz $ 300 (=~ CAN$ 412) Himalaya Mine, San Diego Co., California, USA thumbnail - 2.8 x 2 x 2 cm Two gemmy Tourmaline crystals on a Quartz crystal. This is one I've had for about 40 years, purchased from Fraziers rock shop in Berkeley back in the 70s.
T506 - Azurite $ 4500 (=~ CAN$ 6175) Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico small cabinet - 6.5 x 4.5 x 4 cm Cluster of spikey, upright Azurite crystals on a contrasting white matrix. The Azurite crystals are partially pseudomorphed to Malachite and reach 3.5cm in length. Displays well from many angles.
T514 - Apatite $ 280 (=~ CAN$ 384) Panasquiera Mine, Barroca Grande, Beira Baxia, Portugal small cabinet - 5.5 x 4 x 1.5 cm Group of glassy Apatite crystals on a mica covered matrix. The apatite crystals have a nice pink color with a darker central band. Undamaged.
T533 - Zircon on Quartz $ 350 (=~ CAN$ 480) Mt. Malosa, Malawi cabinet - 10.5 x 3 x 3 cm Transparent Smokey Quartz crystal with attached Zircons. The Zircon crystals are good sized for the locality, reaching 2.1cm. Undamaged.
T545 - Rosasite, Smithsonite on Tennantite $ 340 (=~ CAN$ 467) Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 7.5 x 4.5 x 3 cm A matrix covered by Dolomite and Quartz crystals with areas of blue Rosasite and Tennatite crystals coated by green Smithsonite.
T550 - Cuprian Adamite $ 450 (=~ CAN$ 618) Tsumeb, Namibia thumbnail - 2.2 x 1.5 x 1.5 cm Undamaged clusters of deep forest green, slightly curving crystals of Cuprian Adamite on matrix.
