FM248 - Tourmaline $ 280 Stak Nala, Skardu, Pakistan miniature - 5 x 2.8 x 2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Two doubly-terminated Tourmaline crystals with attached Albite and Muscovite. The Tourmaline are transparent green on one end and yellow on the other. Perfect and undamaged all around, a floater. There is even a tiny DT Tourmaline attached to the larger crystals. Fine example from this locality.
FM252 - Sphalerite $ 160 Merelani Hills, Lelatema Mtns., Arusha Region, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.7 x 1.8 x 1.7 cm ![]() ![]() Rare specimen of Merelani Sphalerite. These turn up only occasionally at the Tanzanite mines. Specimen consists of two interown crystals that are highly translucent and a bright red when backlit.

Translucent to transparent and undamaged with a faint blue stripe. The bottom surface is a cleavage face.

The Hemimorphite forms a botryoidal surface with a beautiful color contrast to the Veszelyite. Micro greenish/blue crystals of Kipushite, a rare copper and zinc phosphate species, are present on the Hemimorphite. Mined in 2022. The locality is a former Limestone quarry with Lead, Zinc, and Copper mineralization that closed in 2018.
