Single Diopside crystal from the Merelani Tanzanite mines. A complete well terminated crystal (that is partially double terminated) with good green color and areas of transparency. Nice steep termination.

Chain of connected deep emerald green Dioptase crystals from the Congo. Sweet little thumbnail composed of about 4 undamaged crystals, good all around.

Cluster of deep emerald green Dioptase crystals from the Congo. A large, complete single crystal with smaller attached crystals. Main crystal is very transparent at the tip.

Having been to San Quintin a number times for surfing and fishing, I've always been fascinated by the Epidote found in the nearby hills, and I was happy to acquire this crystal many years later.

Recent find of crystallized moonstone from Tanzania. Individual crystals to 2.7cm that display a satiny blue color when turned under lighting. This 'Schiller effect' of color is seen at different angles on the different crystals and was therefore not possible to catch in still photos and these are therefore more colorful and attractive in person. Moonstone crystals are rare! Sawcut on bottom.

Large single crystal of translucent to transparent yellow Amblygonite. Amblygonite is a rare lithium-aluminum phosphate species that is not commonly seen in fine display quality crystals. This crystal is big and chunky with glassy luster and is mostly complete all around.

Vivid blue Azurite crystals on matrix from the Milpillas Mine in Mexico. This is an unusual Azurite due both the to the uncommon lighter blue color and the stepped, scale-like surface growth on the crystal faces. Aesthetic and unusual piece.
