MK619 - Alabandite $ 350 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 3 x 2.8 x 2.6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Complete single Alabandite crystal from the Merelani Tanzanite mines in Tanzania. This is a high quality, complete crystal with smooth faces and all 6 tips present. There is a natural pit on one side where the crystal formed around a knob of Graphite and there is some Graphite remaining, along with small Diopside crystals. Merelani Alabandite are considered the world's best and largest examples of the species. A very nice example from the Tim Sherburn collection.

MK637 - Hemimorphite on Rosasite $ 450 Yanga Koubenza, M'fouati Dist., Bouenza Dept., Republic of Congo miniature - 4.5 x 3.3 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Clusters of sky blue Hemimorphite over darker blue/green Rosasite from recent finds in the Congo. The Hemimorphite forms satiny hemispherical mounds. Most found were solid druses of Hemimorphite without Rosasite and specimens such as this with isolated clusters on the Rosasite were uncommon. Highly aesthetic miniature for the find.

MK640 - Azurite $ 3500 Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico cabinet - 10.5 x 7.5 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Stunning large cluster of Azurite crystals from the Milpillas Mine. The Azurite has 'electric' blue color with crystals to 2.5cm in length. In excellent condition with minor chipping, primarily to crystals facing down on the bottom edge. Highly showy example from this prolific Azurite locality that is no longer producing.
MK641 - Cobaltian Calcite with Kolwezite $ 2750 Mupine Mine, Kolwezi Miniing Dist., Lualaba, DR Congo small cabinet - 6.8 x 3 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Exceedingly large single pink Cobaltian Calcite crystal from the Congo. This is a complete scalenohedral crystal that is partially doubly terminated along the bottom. Translucent and undamaged with green Kolwezite adding color contrast. This is the largest single Cobaltian Calcite I've ever seen from the locality. Last photo is backlit.
MK642 - Tourmaline with Quartz (R) $ 2500 Aricanga Mine, Sao Jose da Safira, Minas Gerais, Brazil small cabinet - 6 x 3 x 2.2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Doubly-terminated Quartz crystal attached to a doubly-terminated blue/green Tourmaline crystal. This is a classic and aesthetic Brazilian Tourmaline combo. The Tourmaline is 6 x 1.1cm in size and transparent to translucent. Purple Lepidolite attached to the Quartz adds color contrast. The crystal has one repair and a slight amount of restoration along the repair. Comes with a custom Lucite base.

This is a classic and aesthetic Brazilian Tourmaline combo. The Tourmaline is 3.4 x 0.8cm in size and transparent to translucent. Purple Lepidolite adds color contrast. The crystal has one repair and was reattached to the Quartz crystal.

The Azurite has a much different than normal, lighter bright blue coloration. This has never been cleaned and more of the white clay couldlikely be removed if desired.
