MK269 - Coquimbite, Romerite $ 300 South Olga Tunnel, Monte Arsiccio Mine, Stazzema, Lucca Province, Tuscany, Italy miniature - 4 x 3.3 x 2.2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Outstanding large purple Coquimbite crystal set in white Alunogen with dark red crystals of Romerite from recent finds at the Monte Arsiccio Mine in Italy. The Monte Arisiccio Mine is an old iron mine that worked Barite, Pyrite, and iron oxide ore bodies. Along with other uncommon sulfate minerals, this mine has produced what are in my opinion the world's best Coquimbite specimens. The Coquimbite crystal is well formed and 2.2cm in size and has incredibly rich purple coloration that contrasts well against the white Alunogen. These specimens should be kept sealed in plastic bags or boxes or otherwise be kept from high humidity or moisture. This specimen comes mounted in a plastic box.

The Monte Arisiccio Mine is an old iron mine that worked Barite, Pyrite, and iron oxide ore bodies. Along with other uncommon sulfate minerals, this mine has produced what are in my opinion the world's best Coquimbite specimens. This specimen is composed of a 1.5cm single Coquimbite crystal with smaller crystals growing out the front and back faces. These specimens should be kept sealed in plastic bags or boxes or otherwise be kept from high humidity or moisture.

This one has both isolated individual crystals and a large cluster of crystals. The crystals reach 1.4cm in size and are translucent to transparent. A well balanced, quality Dioptase specimen.

MK281 - Norbergite in Calcite $ 550 Mogok, Mandalay Division, Myanmar miniature - 4 x 3 x 2.3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() A gem quality 1cm Norbergite crystal partially exposed in white Calcite. A second Norbergite is present and fully enclosed in the Calcite just below and adjacent to the exposed crystal. Norbergite is a rare magnesium silicate mineral. This crystal is nice and gemmy and is said to be facetable. Ex. Jon Sigerman, Herb Obodda collections.
MK282 - Red Beryl with Bixbyite $ 750 Searle Canyon Mine, Thomas Range, Juab Co., Utah, USA small cabinet - 6 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Richly colored red Beryl crystal,6mm, in Rhylolite matrix with a black cube of Bixbyite. Though not as large as the Red Beryl crystals from the Violet Claims, the crystals from this locality are noted for there deep red color and associated minerals including Bixbyite and Topaz. Ex. MK284 - Amblygonite $ 400 Linopolis, Divino das Laranjeiras, Minas Gerais, Brazil thumbnail - 2.1 x 1.5 x 1 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Gem-like single Ablygonite crystal recently found in Brazil. Well crystallized all around with a twinning groove along one edge. High luster like polished glass and areas of gem transparency (much better than photos!). A superb and rare thumbnail-sized crystal.

LV289 - Senegalite on Turquoise $ 275 Mount Kouroudiako, Faleme River Basin, Senegal small cabinet - 7.5 x 6 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Large open vug lined with bright yellow crystals of Senegalite. The Senegalite form over layers of vivid blue Turquoise. Senegalite is a rare phosphate mineral and this is the Type locality for the species. This piece offers a huge area of open crystals as comapred to must with smaller, tighter vugs. Sawcut on back.
