MK226 - Duftite on Mimetite $ 350 (=~ £ 259)

Tabular hexagonal prisms of Mimetite on matrix from the Mount Bonnie Mine. The crystals are a translucent yellow but are coated with green Duftite giving an overall yellow/green coloration. When you hear 'Duftite', one typically thinks of Tsumeb, however the Duftite from Mt. Bonnie is equally superb, if not better. This locality is closed and these are hard to find now, especially the less common ones with so much Duftite.

Sharp orange Wulfenite crystals on drusy white Calcite crystals. Excellent color, a bright orage without typical brown tones. There is chipping on two crystals on the edge, however the majority are pristine.

A shard of matrix covered by white Albite crystals hosting several Anatase crystals of exceptional quality. There are 7 larger Anatase with the largest perched near the top and measuring 9 x 8 mm in size. Undamaged.

Single large crystal of translucent to transparent yellow Amblygonite. Amblygonite is a rare lithium-aluminum phosphate species that is not commonly seen in fine display quality crystals. This crystal has large, flat faces on the front and is cleaved/contacted on the backside. Translucent with transparent gem areas. Some faces show light striations and others are smooth with high glassy luster.

Single large crystal of translucent to transparent yellow Amblygonite intergrown with white Albite. Amblygonite is a rare lithium-aluminum phosphate species that is not commonly seen in fine display quality crystals. This crystal is well crystallized all around with a contact on the bottom rising up part of the backside. Translucent with transparent gem areas. Some faces show light striations and others are smooth with high glassy luster. Excellent for the species!

This is a well crystallized specimen all around with just a small area of contacting on the backside. Translucent with transparent gem areas. Some faces show light striations and others are smooth with high glassy luster. Excellent for the species!

Highly lustrous cluster of twinned black Cassiterite on Muscovite. The cluster is 4.2cm wide and high luster of the Cassiterite contrasts nicely with the softer silvery blades of Muscovite.

Deep blue crystals of Quartz included with Shattuckite on a matrix with Shattuckite and lighter blue Chrysocolla. Good crystals on the backside too.

Transparent botryoidal Hyalite and white Staffelite (carbonate rich fluorapatite) on matrix. These are old classics from themost famous locality in the world for Hyalite. This specimen has thick layers of bubbly transparent Hyalite with areas of white Staffelite.

Single blue Benitoite crystal without matrix. The front shows primarily perfect flat crystal faces with the lower right and most of the back side showing natural etching. As a bonus there is a Neptunite and Joaquinite crystal attached to the back lower left corner. Nice and gemmy at the top, undamaged, and good sized.
