LP880 - Rhodonite with Galena $ 500 (=~ € 457) Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia large cabinet - 18 x 8.5 x 5.5 cm Large specimen of pink Rhodonite with crystallized Galena. While not a complete crystal (but crystallized), the sheer amount of Rhodonite is astonishing. Recently released from an old Australian collection.
LP892 - Sampleite $ 125 (=~ € 114) North Parkes Mine, near Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia miniature - 5 x 4 x 2 cm This is a fine representative specimen from one of the most important localities for this rare copper-bearing phosphate species. This specimen was field collected pre 2012. None or very few specimens remain on the dumps of this mine. It had a very shallow oxidized zone and the future of mineral specimen production at this locality is bleak.
LP894 - Manganocalcite $ 350 (=~ € 320) Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia cabinet - 13 x 11 x 3.5 cm Mound shaped clusters of soft pink Manganocalcite from Broken Hill. Better than average piece recently released from an old Australian collection and now seldom seen.
LP897 - Cerussite with Malachite $ 180 (=~ € 164) Brown's Prospect, Rum Jungle, Northern Territory, Australia small cabinet - 7 x 6 x 3.5 cm Hundreds of reticulated Cerussite crystals on the front and back of the matrix. There is a vug on the 'front' filled with Cerussite over Malachite, and the back is nearly solid Cerussite crystal with just a bit of Malachite. In amazingly good condition given the huge number of Cerussites on this specimen.
LP898 - Zincian Dolomite on Coronadite stalactites $ 200 (=~ € 183) Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia small cabinet - 9 x 6 x 4 cm Metallic gray stalactites of Coronadite that are coated on all sides by white zincian Dolomite. Complete all around and undamaged.
AU100 - Rhodonite with Galena $ 750 (=~ € 685) Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia miniature - 4 x 3.8 x 3.5 cm Well formed red Rhodonite crystals in a matrix of crystallized Galena. The main Rhodonite crystal is 1.5cm tall and displays perfectly.
LP900 - Inesite $ 180 (=~ € 164) Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia small cabinet - 7 x 5 x 4 cm Dark red acicular crystal clusters on matrix. There are several radial clusters embedded in the matrix. Better known from South Africa, here's a nice Australian example.
LP901 - Chlorargyrite $ 750 (=~ € 685) Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia small cabinet - 5.5 x 5 x 4 cm Olive green crystals of Chlorargyrite over most of the front face. The entire specimen appears to by nearly all solid Chlorargyrite. Chlorargyrite is a rare silver species that's at it's best from Broken Hill.
