ST245 - Spinel $ 400 Mogok, Myanmar miniature - 4 x 3 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() An 1.2cm crystal of pink Spinel in matrix. A complete, slightly elongated octahedron with good transparency (like glass inside, you could cut gems).
ST253 - Sphene (Titanite) $ 250 Hohe Tauern Mtns., Salzburg, Austria thumbnail - 1.8 x 1.7 x 1.3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Two twinned Sphene crystals on a small matrix forming a superb and uncommon thumbnail. The largest crystal is 1.5cm and both are sharp and glassy. Complete all around and undamaged and could be displayed in a number of directions.
ST278 - Dumortierite, Hematite (?) in Quartz $ 500 Vaca Morta quarry, Serra da Vereda, Boquira, Bahia, Brazil cabinet - 10.5 x 7 x 6.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large double-terminated Quartz crystal with a variety of inclusions including blue Dumortierite and bladed crystals of Hematite. Purchased at the 2021 Tucson show from a large lot of recently mined Quartz from this locality, this was one of only two crystals available with these interesting banded clay (?) inclusions. There is a blue band of Dumortierite through the center with tan colored inclusions in one termination and black metallic Hematite in both terminations. There is a little bit of contacting from other crystals around the center but in good condition overall. Unusual Quartz for a Quartz collector.

ST282 - Woodhouseite $ 200 Champion Mine, White Mountains, Mono Co., California, USA small cabinet - 7 x 7 x 6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rich specimen with numerous crystals of the uncommon mineral Woodhouseite. The best crystal is a pristine yellow/tan crystal 4.5mm in size well protected in a vug.
ST240 - Kammererite $ 150 Kop Daglari, East Anatolia, Turkey thumbnail - 2.7 x 2.2 x 1.1 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rare specimen of the chromium rich Clinochore varietal known as Kammererite. Main crystal is 5mm in size and present on a druse of smaller crystals.
ST150 - Smokey Quartz $ 150 Erongo Mtns., Namibia small cabinet - 6.8 x 4.5 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cluster of 3 undamaged smokey Quartz crystals from a recent find in the Erongo Mountains. These new crystals have excellent phantoms near the terminations, and this specimen was the best quality and had the most aesthetic arrangement of crystals of any of the specimens I saw.
ST251 - Legrandite $ 600 Mina Ojuela, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico thumbnail - 1.8 x 1.2 x 0.8 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Stout, complete single Legrandite crystal with good transparency. Well crystallized all around with a broad, flat termination. Lustrous undamaged crystal faces all around except for a couple small nicks on the backside.
ST249 - Pyrargyrite $ 250 Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico thumbnail - 1.5 x 1.5 x 1 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thumbnail sized specimen of Pyrargyrite crystals. These are sometimes refered to as 'ruby silver' due to silver in the chemical makeup of the species (a silver antimony sulfosalt) and the deep red coloration. Perfectly terminated classic barrel-shaped crystal.

CS104 - Silver (cubic crystals!) $ 350 Bouismas Mine, Zagora Prov., Draa-Tafilalet Region, Morocco thumbnail - 2.4 x 2 x 0.7 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cubic Silver crystals that grew on a sheet of solid Silver and have been exposed from white Calcite. Cubic Silver crystals are uncommon and these are superbly formed, sharp cubes of about 2mm in size.

Well crystallized all around with glassy luster and a wonderful tapering termination. Undamaged except for one nick on the tip.

ST259 - Copper after Azurite $ 250 Copper Rose Mine, Grant Co., New Mexico, USA miniature - 3.5 x 3 x 1.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A floater cluster of Azurite that has been completely replaced by Copper. Complete on both sides with well defined, sharp edges. A remarkable and fantastic specimen.
