Complete orange Spessartine with good translucency and large areas of internal transparency. This is a complete crystal all around with no contacts - only a small minority of the find are complete crystals, most are shards or have contacts on at least 1 or two sides. Some areas of black inclusions but many areas of gem, bright citrus orange. Weighs 104 carats.

Complete orange Spessartine with good translucency and large areas of internal transparency. An equant, complete orange Spessartine with good translucency and areas of internal transparency. This is a complete crystal all around with a few small natural surface pits and minor black inclusions. Rich bright citrus orange coloration throughout with a few gemmy areas. Weighs 151 carats.

Complete 'citrus' orange Spessartine crystal from old finds in Tanzania. These were mostly found as partial or damaged crystals with perfect complete crystals such as this much less common. Equant form with very minimal edge wear, otherwise no damage. There are a few small areas of black Braunite inclusions, otherwise it's nothing but gemmy orange. These were often cut up into spectacular gemstones, and this one could cut a number of small gems.

Complete single Spessartine crystal with great orange color. These are no longer being found or at least very seldomly found anymore. A great example with good color and transparent gem zones. Very trivial edge wear, essentially undamaged.

Complete single Spessartine crystal with great orange color. These are no longer being found or at least very seldomly found anymore. A great example with good color. There is an area of black inclusions, but the large amount of transparent gem zones in the rest of the crystal more than makes of for it. Minor edge wear and a contact where it grew against another crystal, but complete and in overall good condition.

Complete single Spessartine crystal with great orange color. These are no longer being found or at least very seldomly found anymore. A great example with good color. There is an area of black inclusions, but the large amount of transparent gem zones in the rest of the crystal more than makes of for it. Minor edge wear and a bit of dammage to one face, but complete and in overall good condition.

Complete orange Spessartine crystal from recent production (yes, there is small scale mining ongoing at this locality). A complete crystal with very minor to no edge chipping and no black inclusions. Superb coloration that glows bright orange under lighting and areas of gem transparency. For some reason the crystals I've seen associated with red mica are some of the best from this deposit, and this one has a bit of red mica attached. A very nice one!!

Complete orange Spessartine crystal from recent production (yes, there is small scale mining ongoing at this locality). A complete crystal with very minor edge chipping and one contacted area on the bottom where it grew against another crystal. Has a second small crystal intergrown and has areas of gem transparency.
