A very good example of a mineral that is somewhat common now, however will soon will be a classic, ranking as the worlds best, size 5.5 x 4.5 x 2 cm.

A196 - Cinnabar on Dolomite $ 1200 Yanwuping Mines, Guizhou, China small cabinet - 9 x 8 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Classic Cinnabar penetration twin rising up 1.7cm and 1.5 cm wide on Dolomite. Fine quality Cinnabar that glows red when backlit. Fine undamaged piece, Chinese Cinnabar is by far the world's best, get a good one while supplies are still plentiful. Although there is plenty of lower quality material available now, the better ones are few and far between, size 9 x 8 x 4 cm.
A910 - Epidote on Quartz $ 600 Meigu, Sichuan Prov., China large cabinet - 18 x 15 x 14 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large and aesthetic specimen of Epidote crystals on a cluster of large Quartz crystals. The highlight of the specimen is the 10.5cm doubly terminated Quartz crystal set perfectly in the center of surrounding Quartz crystals, as if being held in an hand. There are a couple of tiny trivial nicks, otherwise all crystals complete and undamaged. It's even recrystallized all along the bottom.
A251 - Quartz on Ferberite $ 300 Yaogangxian Mine, Yizhang Co., Hunan Prov., China small cabinet - 7 x 6 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Clear Quartz crystals on a large, well formed Ferberite crystal. Classic Yaogangxian piece, 7 x 6 x 3 cm.
A431 - Aquamarine $ 600 Mt. Xuebaoding, Pingwu Co., Sichuan Prov., China small cabinet - 7 x 7 x 5 cm ex. Matthew Webb ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Tabular, glassy Aqua crystals on Muscovite matrix. The quality of the Aqua is much better than typical for this locality, and the main crystal is much thicker than normal, being 3.8cm wide and 2.3 cm thick. One or two tiny nicks present, but basically undamaged. Ex. Matthew Webb #353.
A949 - Calcite on Stibnite $ 300 Henan Prov., China cabinet - 10.5 x 3.5 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Terminated Stibnite crystal with two attached white Calcite crystals to 3.5cm wide. I've had this piece for over 10 years and still have not seen one with larger and better Calcites, despite the quantities that have come out.
A873 - Aquamarine on Muscovite $ 1500 Ping Wu, Sichuan, China small cabinet - 7 x 4 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Highly lustrous, tabular blue crystals on Muscovite. Thick, high quality Aqua, undamaged.
TU61 - Quartz with Helvite $ 750 Jinlong Hill, Longchuan, Guangdong Prov., China large cabinet - 18 x 6 x 5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large, transparent Quartz crystal with attached and partially included black Helvite crystals. The Quartz has chlorite inclusions and has a well defined green phantom right near the termination. It also has a slight reddish cast in areas. As a bonus, the base of the crystal is completely rehealed.
A318 - Lollingite on Scheelite $ 350 Huanggangliang, Inner Mongolia, China small cabinet - 5.8 x 4.7 x 3.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A 4.5 cm white Scheelite crystal that is partially coated by Lollingite and also partially etched. A metallic silver-colored mineral (looks like Molybdenite) can be seen in the tip that formed as an epimorph of the Scheelite and was later covered by another layer of Scheelite. Unusual and interesting piece from recent finds in Inner Mongolia.
A306 - Quartz with Calcite $ 200 Huangang, Inner Mongolia, China small cabinet - 6.5 x 6.5 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Lustrous and sharp sceptered Quartz crystal associated with peach colored Calcite crystals. Undamaged.
CH107 - Fluorite on Muscovite $ 1500 Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan, China small cabinet - 9 x 7 x 5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Transparent purple/blue Fluorite cubes on a matrix of Muscovite. The Fluorite are glassy and undamaged. Chalcopyrite crystals are present along the left side. Big and showy display specimen.
