Glassy gem Zoisite crystal known as Tanzanite. This is a fabulous trichroic crystal of blue, purple, and light red (up the C-axis). This is also an uncommon doubly-terminated crystal, fully crystallized all around and undamaged. Sometimes crystals with broken then rehealed bottoms are called 'doubly-terminated'. As seen in the last two photos, this one has an excellent true termination on the bottom. A bit of white Calcite and Graphite crystals are attached on one side. Weighs 19.89 carats.

Glassy gem quality yellow Zoisite crystal (yellow Tanzanite). This is a stunning yellow crystal fully transparent top to bottom. Natural, unheated gem crystal that is undamaged. Weighs 4.83 carats.

Glassy single purple/blue Zoisite crystal known as Tanzanite. This is a fabulous trichroic crystal of blue, purple, and light red (up the C-axis). Well terminated crystal with glassy luster and good transparency. Fully crystallized all around and undamaged. Natural, unheated gem crystal. Weighs 17.15 carats.

Doubly-terminated purple/blue Zoisite crystal known as Tanzanite. This one is not only unusual for being a doubly-terminated crystal, it also has a strange bright green zone in one area inside, the color of Tsavorite. I've never seen a green of this hue in Tanzanite before. Weighs 6.57 carats.

Bi-color (yellow over purple/blue) single Zoisite crystal known as Tanzanite. The crystals is complete all around with good transparency and classic form. Weighs 12.25 carats.

Single 'Cobalt Blue' Tanzanite crystal from a small recent find. This color, a deep almost silky blue that reminds me of Kashmir Sapphire, is only rarely found (I've only seen it found twice) and reportedly only from one small artisanal mine in the deposit. These crystals are never very large. Weighs 1.38 carats.

Glassy gem quality pink Zoisite crystal (pink Tanzanite). Two side-by-side connected crystals. Natural, unheated gem crystal. Weighs 7.64 carats.

Glassy yellow Zoisite crystal (yllow Tanzanite) with an unusual 'blue hole' at the base. This is a really odd one - in the base, where the yellow is more translucent, there is a transparent blue zone, somewhat circular in shape, that crosses horizontally through the crystal. This blue zone is not visible from two of the faces, but from the other two faces, you can look straight through the crystal - the visual effect is more striking in person. Natural, complete, unheated gem crystal. Weighs 14.12 carats.
