Transparent pale smokey to citrine colored Quartz crystal from South Africa. An undamaged, doubly-terminated floater of top quality. I bought this as part of a parcel of Quartz crystals about 10-15 years ago and held onto it all this time due to it's beauty and quality. Better than photos!

Tall cluster of dark red Rutile crystals with small attached Quartz crystals. Well terminated and transparent red in areas when backlit.
P184 - Tourmaline $ 2400 Himalaya Mine, Mesa Grande, San Diego Co., California, USA small cabinet - 6.4 x 1.3 x 1.3 cm
Colorful, doubly-terminated Tourmaline crystal from the Himalaya Mine. It has a flat, green termination at one end and steep, red termination at the other end. A classic Himalaya crystal that even has a slight bend due to fracturing and rehealing in the pocket. This was part of the collection of southern California collector Tim Sherburn. Tim bought the crystal in the UK while on a Fluorite mining trip and noted the uncommonly red coloration of the one termination (for the mine). There is a smaller side crystal attached that is also doubly-terminated. Undamaged and weighs 24.6 grams.
P185 - Cuprian Adamite $ 450 Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico thumbnail - 2.8 x 2 x 1.7 cm
Thumbnail sized specimen of vivid green Adamite on matrix. The Adamite cluster is 1.2cm wide, undamaged, and has the best, most vivid green color I've yet seen for this material.

Large, complete tetrahedron of the rare mineral Chambersite. The crystal is 8mm on edge, making it huge for the species. The crystal is translucent purple in color and in perfect condition. Collected by Fred Pough in 1970. Ex. Chuck Trantham collection. This was the largest, best Chambersite crystal in the collection.
P190 - Sperrylite $ 2200 Broken Hammer, Sudbury, Ontario, Canada thumbnail - 1 x 0.8 x 0.4 cm
Highly lustrous and bright single crystal of the rare platinum species Sperrylite from a lesser known locality. Sperrylite specimens are most commonly seen from Russia but the Broken Hammer deposit has also produced good crystals, though in much smaller quantity. This crystal even seems a few degrees more bright and silvery colored than the Russian crystals. Ex. Jon Sigerman collection.

P193 - Wavellite $ 400 Laharran Quarry, Minane Bridge, County Cork, Ireland miniature - 5 x 5 x 2.3 cm
Translucent green Wavellite on matrix from Ireland. With Wavellite I appreciate both the perfect rounded crystals and the specimens that display the radial crystal structure. This specimen gives you both, with a perfect hemispherical 1.7cm wide 'gumdrop' adjacent to a partial crystal. It's also an aesthectic piece from an interesting locality. Ex. Tim Sherburn Irish collection acquired in 1996.
