Two intergrown crystals of Hematite from Chile. Ewell's label indicates "Martite" (a name given to pseudomorphs of Hematite after Magnetite) and a locality of Atacama Desert, Chile. However I don't believe these to be pseudomorphs after Magnetite and flat, hexagonal Hematite crystals are known from this deposit. A beautiful and unusual specimen.

Transparent, flawless light pink Topaz crystal. Ewell's old label indicates this is from Afghanistan, however I'm only aware of small blue Topaz crystals associated with Lepidolite from Paprok, Afghanistan, and this looks much more like a Katlang Topaz to me. Undamaged.
