An outstanding single translucent to transparent Herderite crystal from the Green Cloud Mine. Complete all around crystal with light etching and a smaller crystal attached to one face. This mine is the source of California's finest Hydroxylherderite specimens, and not many were found. Super piece for a San Diego Co. collection. Ex. Al Ordway collection.

Large, blocky Carlsbad-twinned Microcline crystal with attached purple Lepidolite and white blades of Albite. These are classics from the Himalaya Mine and like most, shows light etching on the sides. Large and complete all around with no damage.

Purple Lepidolite and white Albite atop a lighlty etched Orthoclase crystal. These Orthoclase with Lepidolite are instantly recognizable classics from the mine and a nice addition to round out a Himalaya Mine suite.
LP605 - Tourmaline with Quartz (R) $ 3500 Himalaya Mine, Mesa Grande, San Diego Co., California, USA small cabinet - 6.8 x 3.2 x 2 cm
Branching, multi-colored Tourmaline specimen from the gem pegmatites of southern California. Gemmy green crystals with rose-colored terminations(more red than typical pink). This is unusual in that most Himalaya Mine Tourmaline are single crystals and this branching specimen, with an attached doubly-terminated Quartz, is particularly aesthetic. The large Tourmaline is also doubly-terminated. Ex. Tim Sherburn collection. Tim's label notes that it was self-collected by Tim in 1989 during a collecting trip with Peter Lyckberg. It has an indentation from another crystal on the side, and has one repair. This was one of Tim's most prized specimens in his collection and was shown on the first page of Tim's section in the California collector edition of the Mineralogical Record.
