LP779 - Siderite, Chalcopyrite $ 600 Kaiwu Mine, Guizhou Prov., China small cabinet - 7 x 5.5 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Bright metallic Chalcopyrite crystals intergrown with translucent, tan Siderite crystals. This is a well balanced example from this find in excellent condition with plenty of Chalcopyrite crystals well dispersed among the Siderite crystals.
LP780 - Datolite $ 1200 N'Chwanning II Mine, Northern Cape Prov., South Africa small cabinet - 6.5 x 4.5 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Rare pink Datolite crystals from old, limited finds at the N'Chwanning Mine. The crystals are a well saturated pink color, lustrous with a soft glow similar to Rose Quartz when held near a light source. There is a wonderful small stalactite growth in the center and the bottom is also covered with crystals. Ex. Marshall Sussman personal collection.
LP781 - Feldspar var. Sanidine $ 950 SOLD Itrongay, Betroka, Anosy Region, Madagascar miniature - 4.1 x 2.4 x 1.2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rare old time GEM Sanidine crystal. Feldspar is a mineral not ususally known for fine collector gem crystals, but at this locality in Madagascar, amazing water clear crystals are sometimes found. This is a doubly-terminated crystal in excellent condition, crystallized all around with exceptionally sharp form for the locality. The crystal has a strong yellow coloration and is internally transparent. The faces alternate from smooth and glassy on the narrow sides to a dimpled surface texture on the larger faces. Both ends have good bevelled terminations. Ex. Heinrich Prager collection.
LP782 - Willemite $ 2500 SOLD Tsumeb, Namibia cabinet - 9.5 x 6 x 4.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Intergrown spherical masses of translucent blue Willemite crystals over matrix. It's uncommon to find this combination of color, quality, and size in a Tsumeb Willemite.
LP783 - Diaspore $ 1500 SOLD Milas, Mugla Prov., Turkey miniature - 3.2 x 1.7 x 0.6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Well terminated, untwinned single Diaspore crystal. Transparent with a golden body color and a light purple termination. The body has vertical striations and the termination faces are glassy. This particular pocket characterized by purple tips had the best, well crystallized terminations. Complete all around and undamaged.
LP784 - Apophyllite on Stilbite $ 600 Jalgaon, Maharashtra State, India small cabinet - 6 x 5.5 x 5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Glassy, transparent green Apophyllite crystal surrounded by peach colored Stilbite crystals. The Apophyllite is 5.5cm tall and penetrates all the way through the Stilbite crystals. The truncated tip of the Apophyllite is natural growth and not a cleavage (there are small dimples and growth hillocks on the surface).

A superb example from N'Chwanning much better than the more common drusy coatings of crystals. Complete and well crystallized all around.

LP789 - Scorodite $ 600 Mina Oujela, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico miniature - 4.5 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large, well formed Scorodite crystals on matrix. The crystals reach 1.1cm wide and are present on both sides of specimen. The crystals have areas of red coloration inside which can be seen when backlit. These were analyzed and trace Copper and Cobalt were detected which may be the cause of the red coloration.
