CT645 - Fluorite $ 650 Minerva Mine, Cave-in-Rock, Hardin Co., Illinois, USA cabinet - 13.5 x 10 x 3.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Large cluster of transparent to translucent Fluorite cubes from the Minerva Mine. The Fluorite is yellow with thin outer layers of purple and has both attached and included crystals of Chalcopyrite. Clean and in excellent condition with small crystals on the backside too.
TU224 - Quartz $ 600 SOLD Daye, Hubei Prov., China large cabinet - 15.5 x 15.5 x 9.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Amazing floater cluster in a cross-shaped formation composed entirely of double-terminated Quartz crystals. This stunning piece is complete all around and surprizingly undamaged for it's size and with so many different points sticking out in all directions. Individual Quartz crystals reach 14.5cm long. WAY better in person.
B769 - Ludlamite $ 400 SOLD Blackbird Mine, Lemhi Co., Idaho, USA small cabinet - 5.3 x 4 x 2.6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Hard to find old Ludlamite specimen from the classic USA locality of the Blackbird Mine. Crystals are translucent green, reach 1cm in size, and present in a Quartz lined vug. Old material no longer being found.
LP606 - Cerussite, Duftite on Calcite $ 300 Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 7 x 3.2 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Glassy, gemmy Cerussite crystals atop Calcite crystals partially coated by green Duftite. The Cerussite are very bright and lustrous and reach 1.8cm wide. Well crystallized all around, it's nearly a floater with just one small point of contact on back.
LP607 - Adamite $ 350 Mina Ojuela, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico small cabinet - 7.5 x 3 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Lustrous and sparkling fan-shaped aggregates of Adamite crystals on Limonite. The Adamite are clean and undamaged and additional smaller single crystals add to it's appeal.
B807 - Malachite $ 180 Bisbee, Cochise Co., Arizona small cabinet - 7.5 x 5 x 3.5 cm ![]() ![]() Hard to find old Bisbee specimen composed of a cup-shaped formation of botryoidal Malachite. No matrix, just solid bright, dense Malachite in great condition.
LP272 - Brazilianite $ 325 Telerio Mine, Mendes Pimental, Minas Gerais, Brazil miniature - 3.2 x 1.1 x 0.6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Glassy and gemmy Brazilianite crystal from the Telerio Mine in Brazil. This is a doubly-terminated crystal in perfect condition with just one slight indentation on one edge where it grew upon Albite. Ex. Len Pisciotta collection. Len hunted for doubly-terminated Brazilianites for years and this is one of a small sub-collection he assembled.

When they found (which is not often), most are mere shards and well terminated crystals such as this are much less common.

B867 - Bastnasite-(Ce) $ 180 Zagi Mountain, Peshawar, Pakistan thumbnail - 1.8 x 1.7 x 1.1 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Well formed single Bastnasite crystal from the now famous Zagi Mountain locality in Pakistan. The crystal is translucent rootbeer brown in color, complete all around and undamaged.
LP608 - Stibnite $ 150 SOLD McLaughlin Mine, Napa Co., California, USA small cabinet - 7 x 2 x 2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Silvery metallic crystals of Stibnite from the McLaughlin Mine (Manhattan Mine). A nice cluster from this lesser known, defunct locality. The McLaughlin Mine is a former Au-Ag-Pb-Hg-Sb mine discovered 1865 that operated until 1945.
B922 - Chrome Vesuvianite $ 380 SOLD Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Quebec, Canada thumbnail - 1.5 x 0.7 x 0.7 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Bright emerald green chromium rich Vesuvianite crystal. These bright chrome green crystals were always much less common than the yellows and purples that were found here. This mine is long closed and there will likely be no more found. A hard to find, undamaged crystal with great color.
LP609 - Fluorite, Arsenopyrite with Quartz $ 500 Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan, China small cabinet - 9 x 8.5 x 5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Transparent blue Fluorite cubes and Aresenopyrte crystals grown among glassy clear Quartz crystals. This is an older piece (about 20 years) reecently acquired out of a collection and has a distinct and different appearance that more recent specimens from this mine. There are also a few small Ferberite crystals present.
D126 - Mottramite over/after Quartz $ 180 Mina Oujela, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico small cabinet - 5.5 x 3.5 x 3.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Unusual specimen of Mottramite that is either covering Quartz crystals or pseudomorphed after Quartz crystals. There is Quartz at the base of the specimen, but when I look closely at the bottoms of the crystals at the edge, I can see no Quartz in the cores, which leads me to believe the Quartz has been pseudomorphed to Mottramite.
LP610 - Tennantite after Azurite $ 750 Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 7 x 5 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Crystal cluster of Tennanite after Azurite from Tsumeb. Elongated, primatic crystals of former Azurite that have been pseudomorphed to Tennantite. An undamaged cluster with individual crystals to 7cm in length. This piece was mined from the first oxidation zone of Tsumeb. This type of pseudomorph only occurred at Tsumeb, and then only rarely.
