MK934 - Chalcopyrite on Chalcocite $ 500 SOLD Tongshankou Mine, Daye Co., Huangshi, Hubei, China miniature - 3.7 x 2.7 x 2.2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cluster of elongated Chalcocite crystals coated by iridescent Chalcopyrite. This is a superb miniature as the vast majority have numerous small broken crystals - this one is nearly pristine all around. Ex. MK935 - Gold $ 1500 Olinghouse Mine, Washoe Co., Nevada, USA small cabinet - 8 x 5 x 1.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Aesthetic and classic 'nests' of Gold from 1990s finds at the Olinghouse mine in Nevada. MK936 - Rutile in Quartz $ 350 SOLD Novo Horizonte, Bahia, Brazil small cabinet - 8.5 x 7.5 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Cluster of light smokey Quartz crystals that are absolutely loaded with hair-like golden Rutile crystals. There are also small Hematite crystals with Rutile in areas. There are some damaged crystals but the large main crystals are pristine. Ex. The main crystal and an attached, opposing crystal are 6cm tip to tip, with a doubly-terminated Apophyllite attached behind the larger crystal. This specimen presents beautifully for display. Ex. The Fluorite crystal is bright and undamaged with beveled edges and a blue/green color (the camera did not pick up the color, but a light blue/green is apparent in person). Ex. The Wulfenite crystals reach 1.6cm in size, have wonderful surface growth features, with some partially covered by brown Descloisite crystals. MK942 - Calaverite with Fluorite $ 1500 Cresson Mine, Cripple Creek, Teller Co., Colorado, USA cabinet - 10 x 6.5 x 3.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Colorful and rare specimen of Calaverite with purple Fluorite from Cripple Creek. Calaverite is a rare Gold Telluride mineral with the chemical formula AuTe2 and was first discovered in Calaveras County, California in 1861. Some of the most attractive specimens are those with Calaverite combined with bright purple Fluorite, such as this one. The Calaverite crystals reach 4mm in size and occur across the front face, bottom, and back of specimen. Ex. Len Pisciotta collection.
